"Fantastic job. Work was timely and professionally performed at fair price. The owner gave me referances and prior job addresses to go look at his work. He also gave me a referral to a stone company to look at the color and style of the pavers.
I had an issue with the layout of a sidewalk and the owner offered to tear it out and redo it without any hassle. I had an issue with the workers wanting to use my bathroom and the owner dealt with it immediately and was very apologetic.

"I also purchased sun screens. They were made and installed in 1.5 weeks...very fast since they make their own screens. The awning is beautiful and excellent quality. Employees are professional and pleasant answering every question I had."

"Ted, and his team at Yavapai Landscaping, are outstanding! From our first discussion, Ted completely understood our vision and what we hoped to achieve. He provided us with ideas, options and educated us on the quality of different products/manufacturers. He returned all our phone calls/texts promptly, and turned around a competitive estimate for us just hours after viewing our property. Ted's team at Yavapai, started our yard weeks ahead of the projected timeline. They showed up every day on time or even early...always with smiles, good music and the best attitudes. We actually looked forward to seeing them each day! The end product is everything we could have hoped for. We have a place for our rocking chairs out front...to sit and enjoy our morning coffee, and the backyard as our place to have fun and unwind. The backyard design allows for our kids to run, play Cornhole, Badminton, and catch, while our 90lb Rhodesian Ridgeback chases them around. The natural gas fire pit and extended patio with custom pavers, give the adults a perfect place to bbq, enjoy good food, view the fun and sip some wine. It's also important to note, that the administration at Yavapai is also top notch. Communication, invoicing, payments and any questions were all handled efficiently and in the kindest manner. We highly recommend Yavapai Landscaping, for anyone with landscaping needs!"

"We purchased a townhome in Flagstaff several months ago. The unit is situated on a small hill with a pine forest to the rear. There was a small patio in the rear yard. However, the soil was eroding down the hill into the valley below and the patio was cracking due to the unstable soil. I contacted Angelsun Landscaping and Michael inspected the problem and came up with a solution to stop the erosion and stabilize the rear yard with a retaining wall and extending our brick paver patio. JP, Michael's father suggested additional items and solutions. The work took just a little over a week. We were not at the property while the work was taking place. When we arrived to view the work...we were totally blown away by the improvements. They were better than expected. The new patio was magnificent!! In addition, an aluminum wrought iron style fence was added plus a planting area. All the work exceeded our expectations. JP and Michael are the consummate professionals and we would not hesitate to have them do any landscaping work we may have in the future."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can build a sunroom addition to your home despite living in a cold climate. Make sure to use high-quality insulation and windows and to supplement with sufficient heating from your HVAC system. The windows in the sunroom allow enough natural light into the room to help heat it most times without having to use the furnace. Even a small electric fireplace can heat the sunroom well enough.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.

Yes, a sunroom will require a permit. You may just need a general construction permit for a screened-in porch or solarium. For a three-season room with electricity and a four-season room with electric, heating, and cooling, you’ll need additional permits for each of the utilities, as well as a roofing permit.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.

Creating a screen room is one of the most cost-effective ways to enclose a patio so you can still use it in the winter. Most screen rooms aren’t insulated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm or use patio heaters in winter. Also, be aware they might not hold up well if you live in a location where heavy snow is common.
