"I sent a request quote to Safe Streets and my phone was ringing within 1 minute. Impressed with the quick responsiveness. They are partnered with ADT which made our choice to get our alarm system through them a no brainer."

"We own a small family operated jewelry store and decided to get ADT for protection and surveillance. Prior, we just had Ring and it was not sufficient or reliable. This has clearer cameras and a much better app experience. Happy with our new system and equipment."

"It's all very user friendly and reliable. Jeremy helped get us setup with our new system - he was great, very informative and candid. Larry came out and installed everything, and he was a pleasure. I totally recommend 1st Security USA to anyone in the Washington DC metro area."

"In a word, it went outstanding. I really could not be happier with the total job that these guys did. Their pricing was very good too. I paid exactly what I would have had I gone and drummed it all up at BestBuy or ordered it online. So, they didn't jack up any prices at all and they helped me pick the quality of equipment that was in my budget.
They showed up on time and Jeremy was great at keeping in touch via text with me about the equipment order and setting up the install. They were ready to rock and got started right away. They quickly hit a problem with the TV install because the remodel of the house created a great space for the TV over the fireplace but didn't put sufficient studs in the space to hold a heavy TV. Jeremy could have tried to rig it, but wanted to make sure it was solid. That involved totally opening up the space, installing, new studs, fixing the drywall, and repainting. So, they went into Sunday to make sure the job was done right. It was obvious that they care about quality and making sure things are solid and done the correct way. We had guests coming the next day and wanted the system all working and they jammed to get it done and were super respectful of our timing.
One of the switch controllers for zone 2 wasn't working ideally and they identified that during the install and ordered a different switch and came back in 2 days and replaced the one to make sure it was always working. I had them come back one more time to install a DVD player and reprogram the universal remote to be able to control that as well. The receiver runs pretty warm, so they even installed a small fan in the stereo cabinet for that. Considering all the extra things that they ended up doing I am amazed and how little extra things cost over the original quote. There was no up charging or bait and switch here, the TV deal was a nightmare and they really did a great job at very little extra to do it right.
Yes, they were professional, prompt, responsive, knowledgeable and did an amazing installation. But, more importantly, they were just really, really nice guys. We had some family here and were cooking around them, unpacking, the dog was going nuts, and they were totally unflappable and just kept on working. The final product is amazing.
This was one of the best experiences hiring out an expensive job to professionals. My experience with most companies is they are pretty lazy and don't really care about the job they are doing. But, these guys are the opposite. They were genuinely excited about how it all sounded and looked and how it came together. It actually made it even more enjoyable for us to see how proud they were. So, I give them my strongest recommendation to anybody looking to do any kind of TV install, stereo install, home theater, etc. They are great guys and do great work."

"Install was easy. Up front cost was pretty low with Angie's List coupon. Monthly price is a little high compared to competing companies. Response time with alarms is excellent. I was advised to use glass break alarms within 10 ft of my first floor windows, which we installed correctly. I asked prior to installation if having one in the kitchen would cause false alarms due to dishes clanging, etc. I was told the glass break alarms are configured to a precise frequency that alarms with breaking glass. So, not a "no", but not really an answer. Well, every time we cook dinner, wash dishes or empty the dish washer, the kitchen glass break alarm gives a warning which would sound the alarm if it was set. This has caused us a number of false alarms while we've been away due to shifting bowls or plates in our drying rack. For the first several we've had to pay our police department $120 to check the house, and I was only notified after the first alarm that there was a cheaper option for a security company to drive by to check for a break in."
