"Shepherd Contracting remodeled both of my bathrooms and installed new flooring throughout my entire house. Thomas was awesome! He was respectful, easy to work with, and offered way better pricing than other contractors I got estimates from, without compromising on quality. "After purchasing an Angie's List Deal, I received the measuring kit in the mail promptly. The template and instructions provided to draw my split table top and each of the leaves were easy to use and understand. I mailed the completed materials and received the table pads very quickly. The table splits in the middle to allow insertion of up to 3 additional leaves. The table also has 2 drop leaves. That's 7 pads. All fit perfectly. I have used them on the table for family parties (not every day) and they're durable and built to last. I keep them in the box they arrived in to protect them when not in use. These are a worthwhile investment."
"The Max Build team did a great job with my projects. They are very knowledgeable and helpful in discussions solutions and alternative. They were punctual, the work was done on time and at a reasonable price. Chuck and Jeff were able to overcome some challenges created by our home's original construction, leaving us with a fantastic, professional result. I would highly recommend Max Build, LLC for remodeling needs and would definitely hire them again for my own."
Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.
While you will always work with a team of professionals at some point during your home build, homeowners with experience can take on some part of the process. Manage the initial brainstorm, brief writeup, and floor layout phase with minimal assistance before contacting a general contractor. And while you can purchase stock blueprints for some home designs, it's always best to speak with professionals when choosing one ideal for your property.
British architect John Nash is credited with creating the Italianate style of architecture. The style was further popularized in the U.S. by landscape architect Andrew Jackson Downing and architect Calvert Vaux. The style spread across the U.S. due to Downing’s popular book on the style and the availability of plans and materials due to the mass production of the Industrial Revolution.

The most common scale for residential blueprints is 1/4 of an inch equals one foot. This scale is the most popular because it’s easier for everyone involved, from professionals to homeowners, to understand the building’s actual dimensions. Also, it allows blueprints to have the necessary details without cluttering the page.
