I want to share my experience with Legacy EV so other EV owners can avoid the stress, wasted time, and financial headache I’ve endured. What looked like a promising purchase has turned into weeks of frustration, misleading promises, and an outright refusal to take responsibility. The Product Failure I purchased a Tesla Universal Wall Connector from Legacy EV. Almost immediately, the unit began failing intermittently — sometimes charging, sometimes not, with error codes like a blinking blue light appearing randomly. Despite having a licensed, bonded, and insured electrician (the same one who installed it) return multiple times to confirm the installation was correct, the issues continued. This was clearly not an installation problem. The Runaround Legacy EV claimed that help would be “readily available” and that a full refund would be honored if the product was defective. Instead, I’ve been met with endless voicemail prompts, unreturned calls, and English-speaking representatives who are nearly impossible to reach. When I finally did get through, I was told to contact Tesla, who then redirected me to GMC, who — unsurprisingly — refused to help since it’s not a GMC product. Misleading Sales Practices When I asked directly who owned the company, President and Cofounder Mavrick Knoles didn’t disclose his own role — only for me to later find out the truth. This lack of transparency, combined with false assurances about refund and support policies, raises serious ethical concerns. The “Options” They Offered Were Insulting • File a warranty claim with Tesla • Return it with a restocking fee (despite being told a full refund would be honored if defective or was not working properly with a non Telsa EV) • Buy another unit from them (why would I when the first one was a disaster?) The Reality Legacy EV’s business model seems to hinge on dodging responsibility and making customers jump through hoops until they give up. I have detailed documentation, photographs, and time logs of every interaction, and I am now pursuing complaints with the BBB, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, local news outlets, and preparing for legal action to recover my costs and damages. If you value honesty, timely customer service, and getting what you paid for, do NOT trust Legacy EV. "Still incomplete its a mess not up to code for city or ROC. Richards son Jacob Laird was to replace the 30 50 amp and 110 outlet for the receptacle in three lots in rv park following a fire. Jacob demanded to be paid upfront and I reluctantly did so. He chose to spend the money for materials on alcohol where he drank so much he went to the hospital 2 times missing city inspection and SRP 2 times. This began in May 2025 and is ongoing. He has been irresponsible unreliable and dishonest leaving me in a predicament and unsafe conditions violating ROC code of conduct and workmanship specs. This is what he left with after spending over 9k to have this replaces as we had it prior to fire. Super frustrated. Richard did work prior and didn't have an issue Jacob on the other hand is not capable or doesn't have the desirebto do quality work. This has cost our park money and its ongoing to date. Im not saying he's the worst I've ever heard of or seen but he better hope the worst one dont die. "

"We hired Chips to trim and degird the roots of a tree, replace our irrigation system, deep feed our trees, and replace the rock in the yard beds. They were outstanding. Their office staff were responsive and consistently sent reminders for upcoming appointments. The workman were great and their supervisors were knowledgeable and available for consultations. We plan to use them in the Fall to add plantings to our back yard. We enthusiastically endorse them."

"I waited 4 weeks for them to come down for a Generator install estimate. 8/21/23 and they were a no show...no call, no nothing. Horrible customer service. I wouldn't hire them to change a light bulb. And NO MR. ELECTRIC.....my appointment was scheduled for the MORNING and I kept the email that says that. If you'd like to see it.....send me your email and I'll forward it to you. There was NO confusion on my part. It was YOUR company that dropped the ball.
