"The workers were excellent. The person ordering the materials was short, and I had to wait for the job to be finished until the tile reorder arrived."

"Outstanding!!! Adam is the consummate professional who pays close attention to detail and provides excellent customer service. The project encompassed two bedrooms, three closets, a hallway, and the den. Our new floor tile needed to blend with the existing tile and looking at it now, you’d never know they were installed 2 years apart. The house was even cleaner when they left than what it was when they started! Once the project was underway, Adam was quick to point out that the feature wall tile and floor tile for the master bedroom wouldn’t be a good match, even though the designer at the tile store helped us pick it out. He helped find the right tile for the floor and returned everything else to Arizona Tile for us. This kind of attention to detail and level of service is something you strive for when picking a contractor. The project started and finished on time (even with having to run out and get more tile) and the service was top notch.. We were back in MI while the project was being completed so Adam kept me updated with texts and photos every day they were there. You will not be disappointed with Dream Big Tile and I highly recommend them for any project you have in mind!!"

"Excellent - I ended up hiring someone to help with shopping and finishing piece - waste of time and money. Jill's service was by far the most useful and best value in my decorating process.

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

The tile spacing you should use will depend on the tile and where you’re installing it. Choosing the right tile spacers to maintain a consistent gap between your tiles is tricky. Generally, tile spacing shouldn’t be less than 2 millimeters on walls and 3 millimeters on floors because of stress relief requirements. Getting it wrong can result in uneven tiles and early repairs.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

Many homeowners have successfully retiled a bathroom themselves. It can be a challenging but rewarding process, but it’s best for someone who already has at least intermediate DIY skills.

Penny tile should be sealed to protect the grout from moisture and keep stains from damaging the look of the tile. If penny tile is in a humid or high-traffic area, like a bathroom, kitchen, or entryway, it needs sealant. Any type of tile and grout is best maintained with a sealant reapplied by a pro every one to two years.

You can let the tile sit without grout. Don’t panic if there’s a delay between installing the tiles and grouting. A substantial stoppage isn't a problem, provided you keep the tile surface clear of dust and debris. Also, avoid walking over less stable ungrouted floor tiles as they are more prone to premature cracking and shifting.
