"Get a quote upfront. Upon their completion of the window cleaning, we walked around to ensure we were happy. Found four windows that were not up to standard, which he said they would be happy to clean again. They cleaned them right away and charged me an additional $100 for them. We have a caretaking business and if we dont get something right, we fix it at no additional charge. When you are paying someone to do a window clean and upon inspection, prior to their departure, you find work that has not been completed to your satisfaction, you point it out, it gets addressed! No extra charge should be levied for fixing work not to standard."

Yes, many services include cleaning as part of the repair process. Confirm with your provider.

There are several ways to store clothes properly and keep them smelling good. You can keep clothing in a climate-controlled closet for best results, but if this isn’t in your budget, there are many DIY solutions. From using air freshener sprays to keeping a box of baking soda in the closet, you can eliminate unwanted odors. Always store clean, dry clothes in the closet to minimize odors.

Steam mopping effectively cleans and sanitizes floors to kill germs and remove ingrained grease and grime. However, vacuuming or sweeping the flooring first is always a good idea. This removes the larger dust and debris particles that can end up being pushed around the floor by a non-suctioning steam cleaner.

The best cleaner to remove soot depends on the surface material and the type of fire, but consider dish soaps or degreasers, baking soda, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen. Low-oxygen fires often leave behind greasy soot, which is best removed with dish soaps or degreasers. Baking soda can be useful for absorbing soot deposits from carpets, followed by rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to clean the set-in stains.

Your schedule for deep cleaning will depend on how often you clean regularly and how dirty your home gets. If you clean weekly and keep things tidy, you may only need to deep clean once a year. But if you don’t keep up with regular cleaning or have pets that drag in mud and shed all over the house, you might need deep cleaning two or three times a year.
