"Not good! Started on July 4, 2024. Was suppose to spray paint but they decided to hand paint. Was here to start at a reasonable time. Which soon changed. Painting was going good. Then the game plan changed. Doing paint & carpet removal at the same time. One was painting walls & ceiling while the other started on laying vinyl flooring. The one painting should've been way ahead of the other doing flooring. But no. Not given 7 or 8 hours a day when they would show up for a day to work. I would need to leave & when I arrived back home. I found brand new items I had purchased as gifts beening used by the workers on 2 different day's. I was upset! Neither one of them had asked me if it was okay! I had been telling them I didn't like the way the trim painting was looking & actually told them how to get those crisp lines around doorways & etc. They wouldn't listen & had sarcasm remarks! Beside of having sloppy painting when they were putting my beds back together they striped out the bolts on one bed frame & the antique bed frame isn't straight & rocks back n forth badly. The trim work is horrible!! Baseboards are not done right. They never laid one piece of masking tape down for the proper painting or use a putty scraper to get a straight line. Things that were talked about them doing didn't get done before the last day. And there was materials I bought that I didn't get a receipt for & I asked many times for them. Also materials I bought for the job that was taken by the workers when they packed up their tools they took the materials!"

We are a new business that focuses primarily on handyman type work. This includes most home repairs other than electrical and plumming. Also we offer power washing of homes, driveways, and walkways. Along with these we will wash and restore wooden decks and fences. We do some custom metal work upon request, however this is not our current speciality. What sets us apart is our pricing model. Your deck may pop, and your neighbor’s deck may not for a number of reasons. Whether or not a deck pops will depend on how it was made, the conditions it’s exposed to, and the materials. Improper spacing is a common reason for increased pressure between deck boards. Moisture penetration is another.

We recommend hanging a porch swing at least 2.5 to 3 feet from the wall and about 17 inches above the ground to avoid damaging your home. You want enough clearance behind it and on each side of the porch swing to move around safely and avoid the chains rubbing against it.

The main cause of a rotting porch post is prolonged exposure to moisture. So, the best way to prevent rot is to eliminate and guard against moisture.

  • Use wood caulk to seal any cracks, openings, or areas along the post where water is likely to pool.

  • Secure porch posts into concrete, if possible.

  • Cover wooden posts with protective sleeves or wraps, often made of vinyl.

  • Install metal post anchors for extra support.

Deck skirting shouldn’t touch the ground, especially if you have a wood deck, which is vulnerable to moisture. Ideally, you should leave at least 3/4 of an inch of space between the deck skirting and the ground for more ventilation. Pros also recommend that you incorporate about 1 square foot of space for ventilation for the underside of the deck to every 150 square feet of decking. Proper ventilation prevents mold growth and rot that can damage your deck.
