I contacted Foundation Pro for an inspection of my foundation and moisture in the crawl space. Brent Stroud inspected the foundation and crawl space, determined that the foundation was fine but that there was standing water under the house. The moisture barrier installed several years ago was not doing its job nor were the wooden shims placed in the pier supports under the house. Brent explained that wooden shims could change over time and recommended that they be replaced with metal ones which we did. The moisture barrier that Foundation Pro installed is far superior to what was removed and the addition of a sump pump and dehumidifier has removed moisture from the crawl space. Mr. Stroud recommended several ways to reduce moisture around the house including installation of gutters a service that they do not provide or I would have had them install gutters. Everything was very professionally done at a reasonable cost and I would not hesitate to hire Foundation Pro again.

Foundation Pro came out and assessed the issue, explained to me what was needed to correct the problem and provided a quote to repair the brick wall, patio and sidewalk. Their pricing was very competitive and they provided a great warranty. The work they performed exceeded all my expectations and it corrected my problems. The owner (Brent) was very knowledgeable and was very attentive to the work being done. I would highly recommend this company. Update: Four years after the work was done, I had a very tiny crack show up in my brick that was unrelated to the previous work done. I contacted Brent at Foundation Pro, he was very responsive and came to my house to inspect the problem. After his evaluation, he offered to repair the mortar crack at no charge and file it under warranty even though it was not really related to his previous work. It is hard to find people and or businesses like this nowadays. I highly recommend Foundation Pro.

They could have sold me, but they said I did not need anything, and said that everything was okay. They were very honest. Brent Stroud was very honest man, He crawl into the crawlspace, went above and beyond. Answered all my questions patiently and recommended that I don't need anything this time.

I could not have been more pleased with the service provided by Brent Stroud at Foundation Pro. We are buying a new home that has had foundation work completed within the past couple of years. The work was done by a different company than this. Secondary to the home inspection we decided to have an independent review of the foundation. Brent was very responsive in setting up the appointment for the evaluation. He met me at the appointed time and conducted a thorough evaluation of the property. He took the time to specifically address all areas of concern that had been noted in the inspection. Brent's evaluation found no current problems exist with the foundation, so there was no work for him to detail for us at this time. Nevertheless, he took the time to show me exactly what to watch for and when it would be important to call for evaluation of any issues. He also provided recommendations that could provide additional help to protect the home from future foundation problems such as additional drainage opportunities and removal of a tree near the home that may hold moisture close to the foundation. These are not recommendations that his company would conduct, but he went out of his way to help educate me on how to protect our new home from needing future foundation repair. This was a terrific experience for us, and I would highly recommend Brent Stroud for anyone with foundation questions. He will provide an honest evaluation of need and not recommend unnecessary work. The time he spent was a free evaluation/estimate of the foundation.

The Foundation Pro workers are professionals who work diligently to accomplish what is required. Our house is on a sloping rocky cliff and the depth of the slab was more than twice what was expected. Their efforts were relentless and commendable. The finish is so incredibly clean and neat that it is impossible to detect that this huge amount of deep and dirty work was ever done. By watching their performance we are completely sure that this is a job well done and will not worry about the structural integrity of the house anymore. What a great choice we made choosing Foundation Pro.

They showed up on time, listened to my concerns, walked the house and looked at what was concerning me. He went under the house and walked the perimeter. He reported that my foundation was not good, but great! He tried to sell me nothing and gave us a pretty cool gift for calling him. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome. In truth, it cost him to come out!

The pre-plan part of the project went great. Brent was prompt and the service was excellent. However, the scheduling of the service was terrible. First, there was a paper I was supposed to sign that I was not informed about and was told that was why it was not scheduled. Next, I was told the service was set to be scheduled only after this paper was signed, but was not told. Luckily, I was able to work with the front office to schedule the service and that allowed us to work everything out. When the technicians arrived on site and on-time, they worked steadily and got the job done. When I called Brent for a final inspection, he came out promptly. Besides the scheduling issue, everything was great and I would recommend this service. His prices were more than fair and the service was competitive with a great warranty.

It was BAD! The Foundation Pro technicians managed to place 1 of the pilings (which are large steel pole) through our sewer line without even noticing. FOUR DAYS LATER WE HAD SEWAGE BACKING UP IN OUR TUBS, SHOWERS, AND TOILETS! We had already had our plumber come out and perform the recommended leak detection service, costing and additional $400, which was all we were told to do. Our plumber had to come out now and jackhammer the floor again, dig out the fill dirt, and replace the pipe section that was drove through by routing the new pipe around the piling. NOW WE HAVE A $4000 BILL TO REPAIR THE COMPLETELY DESTROYED SEWER LINE. Foundation Pro refuses to pay any of this repair bill as they do not feel they should be held responsible for driving a large steel pipe directly though the sewer line that services our whole house! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPAY! If things don't go perfectly, they will leave you to pay for it!

Angie’s List reviews provide members the opportunity for them to rate and review service providers based on their opinion of an overall experience with job performance and customer service of a company they have hired. This leverage should help inspire hard working customer-oriented contractors like us to give their very best which is exactly what customers deserves even if there is no review at stake. However the writing in this review contains incomplete and innaccurate information about the circumstances around this project which is misleading and unfair to the core values and business practices that Foundation Pro has proven to our customers in our 20 year company history. We regret the circumstances involved with the damage of the PVC sewer line and made an earlier agreement to compensate $500 to the homeowners which was half of his initial request of $1,000 to help pay for plumbers to make their repair. This amount would have been deducted from their total unpaid balance owed for our foundation repair services and was offered as a gesture of goodwill and not negligence. The homeowner signed our service contract and disclosure related to unforeseen conditions such as this incident of a plumbing line buried deeper than we typically discover in our process of repair. On a yearly average we install about 1,700 pier pilings (about 20% of them underneath an interior slab) and until this incident have seen no cases of plumbing problems caused by a piling entering a plumbing line while establishing pressure or as a result of the slab raising. I spoke with the homeowner on Monday August 15th and offered compensation of his initial request of $1,000 with an agreement that he would contact me soon and pay the remaining balance of his invoice for foundation repair. He has accepted our offer. For the record some of the statements made by the wife at this residence who wrote this review are incorrect. All communications since we began this project have only been with the husband. We regret any inconveniences that this incident has caused them."

I purchased the Angie's List deal and was contacteby by Foundation Pro right away to discuss what type of work I needed done. I then received a call from Brent Stroud to set up a time for him to look at the job and give me an estimate. I wanted to have the walkway fixed but I also asked if he could also check under the house as we have a lot of settling. He was prompt for our appointment and checked out both areas. My walkway was not something that is their usual type of repair; for one thing it was not very deep, only about 2-3" thick. Brent said that he could not guarantee that it would look like new but that they could make an improvement to how it looked now. I was impressed by his honest appraisal. He also looked inside and under the house and let me know what type of repair they could perform and how much improvement I could expect. Brent was very knowledgeable about more than just the foundation and gave me some advice on other issues that we are having with the house. He later contacted me with the estimate to fix the walkway and a separate estimate for added support under the house. We set a date to have the walkway done. His crew showed up on time and completed the job as promised. They even fixed the crack in one of the pieces of the walkway. Since I wasn't home when they finished the repair Brent emailed me pictures of the project. I am very pleased with the repair Foundation Pro performed and we will be calling to schedule to have the support pillars to be installed soon. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing foundation work.

It's hard to say enough great things about my experience with this company. Exceptional service from the initial meeting and throughout the job from the owners, from the guys who were at the house every day doing the work, and even a couple of the ladies who work in the office. Pricing was fair and very competitive. When problems were encountered with conditions at my site, they went over and above what you might expect and did not charge me extra even though they probably could have. Their work was performed in a neat and professional manner. To put it mildly, my job was challenging and they more than met the challenge! If you need foundation work, do yourself a huge favor and let Foundation Pro give you an estimate.

Brent Stroud planned the repair work and thoroughly explained how it would be completed. Rudy, his crew leader was extremely talented in organizing work, very hard working, and very thoughtful and courteous. Antonio was his main crew member. All of the work was completed over several days that included some rainy days. We were very impressed with the the care given to avoid disruption to our home life and landscape plantings. Their attention to detail was impressive.
During and after completion of the work, it was thoroughly inspected by Brent.
