"Excellent, fast, professional service. I had no clue how to fix my sewer/water line, and these guys came out, understood the problem and why the previous plumber couldn't fix it, and proceeded to quickly unblock my pipes and suggest future solutions. Extremely professional and prompt and demonstrated why I'll hire them first for any future problems I run into. Thanks!"

"The quote after seeing the existing cabinet for the replacement was $500, possibly $300 more if brick needed to be cut. The sink & counter were more narrow than the new s/s cabinet. The plumber put a 1" x 4" piece of wood & tiled and grouted the 6-7 inch difference for about 36 inches wide. Was pretty shocked at the final bill which was about $1350. Just know I can't afford them for a second job. The fellow was a talker and it pretty much all works a planned."

"I'm excited to give a big shout-out to Jonathan from Sanders Service Company for his excellent work on my sewer line. Jonathan is a hard worker and a super honest and straightforward guy. He really loves what he does, and it shows in his top-notch work. What's cool about Jonathan is he's a straight shooter who tells it like it is, which I appreciate. He's passionate about plumbing repairs and goes the extra mile to fix things right. Jonathan's attention to detail is impressive, and he's all about getting the job done perfectly the first time. Thanks a bunch, Jonathan and the Sander Service team, for your fast response and fantastic service!"

"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."

"Tom always arrived when he said he would, and he was finished working when he said he would be. He suggested very nice 16and quot; tile with a beautiful accent strip for the shower surround. The shower has a nice tile bench with rounded corners that are not sharp to sit on.
In addition, we asked Tom if he knew anyone who could fix a bedroom door that would not close, and he said he could fix it himself. He took the door of its hinges, shaved off the top, and remounted it. He did not charge us anything for that, even when we offered to pay."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to cap a gas line yourself if you’re no longer using it or are simply going out of town for an extended period of time. It’s essential to follow the steps on properly capping a gas line yourself. If you’re uncomfortable with any of the steps, you may want to bring in a natural gas plumber for added reassurance.

Yes, plumbers replace bathtub faucets, but they’ll charge labor costs to do so. A plumber can charge $50 to $100 or more per hour for labor plus the cost of the faucet. Labor may not break the bank for a simple job, but it could cost significantly more for complex jobs like installing a waterfall tub filler or freestanding bathtub faucet if either falls into your must-have bathroom remodel ideas.

Watch for sinkholes in your yard. Also, if the water pressure in your sinks, showers, and other fixtures is notably lower, this is usually a sign that an underground water line is leaking. This affects sprinkler lines and can make the sprinklers shoot out water with very little water pressure, meaning they won’t water your lawn and garden as effectively as normal.

Yes, copper pipes freeze at temperatures of 20 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. In fact, copper pipes are more likely to freeze than other piping types since they conduct energy and lose heat quickly. They’re also more difficult to insulate, since insulation may make it difficult for heat to reach the pipes during sudden surges of cold weather.

Some older homes have toilets in the basement to combat sewage backups. This type of toilet, also known as a Pittsburgh potty, acted as a safety valve over the incoming sewer line. If a line backed up, it would back up into the toilet because it was the lowest fixture in the home, keeping it out of sight and away from the finished areas of the house.

Basement toilets were also used by workers with messy jobs, like those who worked in coal mines or steel mills. This way, they could clean up and avoid tracking dirt through their home.
