The plumber put a 1" x 4" piece of wood & tiled and grouted the 6-7 inch difference for about 36 inches wide. Was pretty shocked at the final bill which was about $1350. Just know I can't afford them for a second job. The fellow was a talker and it pretty much all works a planned."

In addition, we asked Tom if he knew anyone who could fix a bedroom door that would not close, and he said he could fix it himself. He took the door of its hinges, shaved off the top, and remounted it. He did not charge us anything for that, even when we offered to pay."
