More storms were coming and my handyman, Kevin, recommended them. When Garith came to tarp the roof, he advised me I needed a new roof, due to all the hail damage. And he was right, when he said, "I'm sure your insurance will agree. Call them, then get back to us." I had only been in the house a year! This was also my very first hazard claim. The insurance side of the claim was complicated, time consuming and just annoying! Garith at Top Hat, made it easy. They were flexible and accommodating with the insurance standards. Come to find out, all three roofs needed replaced (I have a small cottage and shop, as well). It was a very large job. "Our house was damaged by a tree that fell on the roof. After the roof was rebuilt by carpenters, Weather Proofing Experts agreed to apply the roof shingles. They did so very quickly to avoid any more water damage to the house interior. They even came on a Saturday with a crew of 4 to make the house weather tight again before more rain the next day. I really appreciate the fact that the roof was applied within a week of the damage and the cost was totally within the estimate of the insurance adjuster. I would definitely call Weather Proofing Experts again if I need more roof work.

"This is an outstanding company. I live in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border, and I called Top Hat for an estimate and an inspection. Their state-of-the-art camera system availed me of actual pictures of the interior of the chimney, and I was astounded that I hadn't experienced a fire due to extensive chimney damage from a previous creosote fire before I moved here! Rather than rebuild the entire interior of the fireplace, they used a new system of applying a ceramic material with a high specific heat absorption index, filled all of the cracked mortar areas, added a new cap and new double-walled pipes along with a new wood-burning insert which is so environmentally friendly that it qualified for a tax credit for being non-environmentally detrimental, all at an extremely reasonable price. Rather than make just a couple of quick trips to finish the job while driving many miles from Arkansas to Oklahoma, they opted to come back when the new ceramic lining had completely cured and was ready for pipe installation, and they have returned again to check on the performance of the system. I am overwhelmed at the level of both their customer care and also their competence in the area of combustion chemistry. "<p>A male and female squirrels were making a next in the soffit area on the front of my house. Dan Taylor was able to trap the famale. The next day the male abandoned the nest. Dan then came over and replaced the damaged soffit panel and header. He did a very good job weatherproffing the repair and then applied fresh paint. </p> The repair looks great, like the damage never happened.

"He arrived on time and did a great job. Very thorough. He tried to fix our broken damper knob and spent a good amount of time on it but it was unfixable. He didn't charge us for the time he spend on that. He quoted us a price for a more efficient damper and told us to call him in the spring and he'd come see if we needed our chimney cleaned. No charge if it didn't need it. He said every chimney is different in how often it needs to be cleaned. We were very pleased with him and his service. We will be calling him again.
