"I do not recommend Bath Planet. The cost is exorbitant for such a pretty product made with poor quality materials and shoddy installation. There is too much give in the flimsy walls and pan. After only a month, I had to have someone come in and recaulk. It took a LOT of caulk for the big gaps. Yes, there was mold. Then, two years later, yet another issue. We noticed a squishing sound in the hall, then water started coming up between the floorboards. It took a plumber two trips (and a week of using no water in that end of the house - no dishwasher, kitchen sink, laundry, or bathroom) so the floors could dry and he could find the source of the water. Turns out, the shower drain was not properly installed, or perhaps it had worked itself loose with the flimsy bendable pan. Water was draining between the concrete slab and our pvc laminate flooring. Yes, I am upset. I am so sorry I allowed Bath Planet anywhere near my house."

"Steve Anderson & his associate, Bradley did an excellent job at replacing my liner in my 18’ X 20’ in ground pool. Steve is a professional swimming pool expert in his business of Anderson Pool in Cabot Arkansas that has excellent reviews. He ordered the high quality custom fit pool liner that was manufactured specifically for my pool. When he received the new liner he contacted me to drain the pool and start the procedure of removing and disposing of the old liner. Next he inspected and repaired any and all sub liner repairs as required. The next step was to properly hang the new vinyl liner and start filling the pool. That was the slowest part of the job waiting on a garden hose to fill the pool with 32,000 gallons of water. The stormy weather we experienced during this process didn’t help either. Enclosed is a picture of the completed project that speaks for itself on the quality of work performed by Steve and Bradley of Anderson Pool. Rated 5 out of 5. "

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

A steam shower goes in place of an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and functions as both a shower and a source of steam (at around 110 F). Because steam is involved, steam showers are classified as wet heat. For any humidity-haters, saunas are enclosed spaces that can be put anywhere in the house and produce dry heat. That means they use electricity to power the heat rather than water to create steam.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

The major difference between a steam shower and a sauna is that a sauna generates dry heat and a steam shower generates heat from steam, creating nearly 100% humidity. Because of the moisture involved, a steam shower can feel as warm as a sauna even though its temperature is lower, between 90 and 120 degrees.

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.
