Bob’s company worked for us 2 times and performed very well in each case. We added a new 2nd floor room over a completely open area. We also called Edwards after Hurricane Sally for significant repairs. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again!

Mr. Chapman and his crew got here early and worked all day to complete the job. It looks great, and he and his crew were professional and friendly. I have no idea about price for masonry work, but another contractor who looked at the work to be done told me it was a great price. I would call him again

Service was fabulous. Michael was very responsive, quick with an estimate, very punctual in answering questions and thorough. He also saved me a trip to Lowe's and picked-up the mailbox for me for installation. One of the best subcontractors I've ever used. The work looked awesome! Since I live out of town he took the time to text me pictures of the finished project, too

Doug is a general contractor, and although he does some of the work himself, relies upon subcontractors for each speciality; e.g. plumbing, carpentry, masonry, tile, marble, cabinetmaking, electrical, etc. Doug is also an "idea man" with a good grasp of materiel capabilities, design, functionality, and building codes. Doug worked with us each step of the way, converting our rough ideas into beautiful finished product. His subcontractors are excellent craftsmen. We are extremely pleased with the finished product. However there are a couple of areas that I encourage others to pay special attention to if they engage Tierce Construction. The first is time. It seemed to me that several of the individual projects could have been running concurrently, instead of being done sequentially. This caused the remodeling project to seemingly last forever. Granted, the work occurred over the Christmas and New Years holidays, adding to the time required to finish. Secondly, the overall cost of the project was more than I had expected. Doug is very good about providing interim statements of work completion; but I found these statements difficult to understand. Overall, the project cost around 25% more than I had expected given Doug's initial estimates. Part of this overage was due to the cost of replacing the hot water heater which, fortuitously, failed while the plumber was on site

My experience with them went really well and I had no issue whatsoever. He is basically a middleman, contractor. He puts other group of guys that do their own work together and uses them for his sites. He and his men were timely which was a nice thing. He worked within my budget and was flexible about the payments. He and his men were courteous

Mr. Chapman inspected the issue and found that a large tree root had lodged itself behind our brick walls. He performed the work quickly and professionally. I might add this was compounded by the fact that this is not our primary residence and we live about a 1000 miles away. We conducted this by phone, pictures and email. You have to put a lot of trust in an individual in a case like this. We couldn't be more pleased

Michael came when he said he would at 5 PM after finishing another job and got right to it. He also repaired a large crack between the bricks around the corner - above and beyond at no additional cost. No need to go anywhere else for masonry work.

"Wayne Askew contracting first helped me with kitchen remodel last summer. Kitchen was “gutted including drop downs above cabinets. New cabinets installed along with tile flooring and wood countertops. When it came time for bathroom renovation I didn’t hesitate to call these guys again. They removed old tub and created walk in shower with tile on floor and shower walls. Handicap rails installed , as well as larger entrance door, to make safe for elderly parent coming to live with us. Beautiful job!

"Great! Quick turnaround; past providers would take multiple days doing a few hours here and there which left things looking out of place for a long period.

"The quality of their work is very good; however, they are much too expensive, since they hire contractors. Also, they don't accept personal checks, debit/credit cards. Considering how expensive they are, they have some nerve not to be more cooperative insofar as how their customers may pay for their services. I read one of the reviews in which the representative stated that they had been in business for ten years; however, they have not been in business for ten years in Mobile, but the Mississippi Gulf Coast instead.

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house. My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats. They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house. Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough. It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway. It seemed really fast to me. The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano. We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed.
We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors. Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation.
After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house. They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down. A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots. We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement. We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation. While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house. The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision. Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared. Great job guys.
Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements. We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement. We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013. It's been a long process, but well worth it. Made possible by Expert House Movers!
