"I had them clear a few acres of raw land. Tree service was closest fit. They came w nice equipment for doing the job and the young man worked tirelessly all day. Cleared and flattened a couple of acres and cut driveways. It was fun to watch the mulcher chew thru the scrub and brambles. Nice folks. Iâ ll be calling them again for more work soon. Most trees can be successfully transplanted while they are young, but pines, walnuts, and some oak tree varieties are more difficult to move because their root systems grow deeper than most other trees. You don’t always need a permit to grind a stump, but you might need one depending on your location and the stump’s surroundings. A grafted tree is a tree grown by combining two trees. It takes expertise. Branches from grafted trees don’t grow strong roots. Save yourself the time and frustration by having an arborist help you with this advanced project.  

You can often tell if a tree is grafted because it will have a noticeable line. Above the line, the bark will look different than it does below the line. It’s most common with fruit trees.

Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit.
