"After getting two other quotes from competitors, Clean Team beat both. David, estimator and master plumber, was very professional and patient with all of our requests. This job was a big project and was estimated to take up to two full weeks. Their men finished in less time than expected even with unforeseen hiccups that arose. Plumber Rudy and Chris B. were excellent in providing not only quality work, but great customer service. They also finished patching sheetrock the same day the indoor work was completed. We are not easy to please when it comes to projects on the house, and we are so grateful we went with Clean Team Plumbing."

"I was very pleased with your work performed by Stan and his son. They were on time, professional, and explained everything to me before they left. They went over everything with me to make sure I was happy with their work. I would definitely recommend them and I’ll call them again for all my plumbing needs in the future."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

In Mobile, you should seek immediate drain cleaning for a raw sewage backup or multiple clogged fixtures, as these signal a main line blockage. Standing water with foul odors also requires urgent attention due to health risks in the humid climate. A single slow-draining fixture can often wait a week or two, but any slow drains should be addressed immediately before hurricane season begins.

Helpful?

In Mobile, most plumbing work—including new installations, major repairs, or system replacements—requires a plumbing permit from the City of Mobile Building Services Department. Only Alabama-licensed plumbers can apply for these permits. Inspections are mandatory at both rough-in and final stages to ensure compliance with Mobile plumbing codes. For detailed requirements, consult the City of Mobile Building Services Department or the Alabama Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board.

Helpful?

Mobile's subtropical climate creates unique challenges for drain cleaning. High humidity and hot summers accelerate organic decomposition and bacterial growth inside pipes. Heavy annual rainfall, especially during hurricane season, increases the risk of debris clogs and sewer backups from root intrusion. These weather patterns mean drains in Mobile require more frequent attention to prevent blockages and foul odors from developing throughout the year.

Helpful?

In Mobile, always shut off the main water supply before starting plumbing work and check for nearby electrical wiring, especially in damp or humid spaces. Use proper ventilation to prevent mold growth, which is common in Mobile's climate. If your project involves gas lines or is scheduled during hurricane season, review emergency shut-off procedures. For work requiring code compliance, consult a licensed local professional and follow Mobile plumbing safety guidelines.

Helpful?

If slow drainage or foul odors return within 30 to 60 days of service, the previous drain cleaning may have been incomplete. In Mobile, rapid re-clogging during the rainy season is a major red flag, potentially indicating incomplete root removal. Other signs include recurring gurgling sounds or persistent mold growth around drains, which is a common issue in our humid environment.
