Often the price is high to even a bit off-putting, but the quality, workmanship, knowledge, ability and the fact that they get the job done right is worth it. The only builder in the area who completely stands behind his work. If you think anything is even mildly off, they're back in a flash to correct it at no extra charge. We had some new doors put in for which the company hardware was working ideally, they fixed it. We needed to redo the kitchen but the cabinet headers were not finished before prior owners wallpapered, so they handmade new veneers and fixed it. Our dining room walls were not perfectly straight,, so they custom fit crown molding and chair rails and it looks perfect. Save money in the long run and do it right first by using these guys.- john v.

North Alabama BuildersIt?s not too often that I write about a company to say how impressed I am with their service?but all I have to say is WOW. North Alabama Builders exceeded my expectations in every way possible. We worked the entire project through the company's owner, Brent. I was extremely impressed with Brent and his thorough inspection of the property, existing deck structure, listening to the vision/needs we had for the new deck and execution of the project. Brent continuously updated us throughout the project and stood behind his work in every way possible. The original estimate was very detailed and provided exactly what work we agreed upon. I was happy to see all the details in the estimate and it further provided me with confidence that Brent thought through all the details of the project. He executed exactly as he stated he would. We even ran into some issues with our existing structure (rot underneath a old door) and expanded the scope of North Alabama Builder's work. His team responded without any issues to the additional scope we added. Even with the additional work we added, Brent stayed within the budget he estimated. Additionally, there were a few details where Brent and his team went above and beyond what was in the estimate - such as painting the internal wall and trim where an old door was removed and replacing some boards in the bottom deck to make it look completely finished. We did not expect this and we were excited to see this attention to detail. We left Brent and his team with a key since we were not able to be home for the entire project. We never even thought twice about this. I would highly recommend North Alabama Builders. We were thrilled with the work and would use him again in a second.- Paul R G.

SEAL-TITE - Metal Roofing SpecialistsThere are no complaints about Seal-Tite service, quality of work performed, or the crew performing the work. Every change, and addition that we asked about, was met with positive responses, and done to our satisfaction, and the crew chief has a general contractors license and even had very helpful hints and suggestions on what we could do to enhance those changes. We never felt pressured about anything, just helpful hints if, and when we asked for advice and suggestions. One thing that really stood out, and impressed us, was the fact that at all times there was one crew member dedicated to nothing but clean up, and pick up, as the removal of old material was accomplished, and as the construction progressed. Smith's Remodeling & RoofingHe did an excellent job! At the same time he did this job, we had him reroof the rest of the house as a separate job, and he did excellent at that as well. His crew was extremely meticulous when making sure that all of their work looked good. George L. Hammond ConstructionHe was the original builder of the home we purchased. Anytime I have had a problem, he would fix it or find the right person to do it. He found us a great contractor to do the flooring in our home. George does excellent work. He knows everyone! Anyone he has ever had come to the house have done nothing but quality work. I am a single mom, and I trust him to come into my home even when I'm not there. He won't let anyone come into the home unless he is with them. He is very honest and trustworthy. He's a blessing. Maine Bathroom RemodelingWe have a 12 x 12 deck then 4 stairs to a 4 x 8 running deck that leads to 7 more stairs. The wood was rotten and needed replacement. Last Christmas we had a guest fall part way through some of the decking, It was dangerous to sit on, let alone walk on it. We wanted to go with a Choice Dek composite wood to replace the decking and repaint our hand rail and replace any bad ballusters. I knew the material alone was going to run over 2000 dollars. The first Contractor was way to cheap, beside the fact he was inconsistent when describing how the work would be done, I had a feeling he didn't know what he was doing. The second company was very expensive at 9000 dollars. Then Sweet Home Repairs bid came in at 4500 for the third and final estimate . I hired Sweet Home Repairs immediately giving him a down payment check, signed a simple contract agreement to which he scheduled us in and arrived at the day and time he gave. The work was complete in 3 days and looked better then we had hoped. I would gladly use Sweet Home Repairs again and have plans for other project later. We enjoyed our deck all summer and no one fell through!- Todd C.

J & S Constructionwell from the first meeting he was promped he gave us a bid and then whent beyond and explaned things other contractors didnt take the time to do. his bid was mid price compared to others but he gave the best presentation. he started with the pavillion and completed it 2 days early and it was just so amazing. so we went on with the metel roof and completed on time another great job so we went on to lay ceramic tile in our den and gave him a budget and free range and it looks like it belongs in a mansion just a great job i would us them over and over if i had the money to spend.- jeremy f.

Poorly Signed and paid installment on June 10, 2020. Broke ground mid July. Was supposed to be done by September 15th 2020. He walked off the job in Jan 2021. Didnt pay his subs and sent a letter for us to sign to take on responsibility for paying his subs. Had to fix the concrete floor so flooring could be reinstalled. Still isn’t right Sent a second letter threatening to put a lien on our house because we wouldnt sign his ridiculous letter taking on paying subs. There isn’t enough money left to finish the job anyway. Much less pay the subs he should have paid. He doesn’t respond. Wont warranty his work. Left cracks in the ceiling, molding undone. Flooring still at issue, We have never tried to rush them or get on them at all about anything. He didn’t put a dumpster on property right away and left piles of trash in the backyard for months. No port a potty. So yellow Gatorade bottles were found. It goes on and on To top it off the addition is for my elderly mother who has Alzheimer’s and has had nothing but stress over this. We have already paid out of pocket over 12k. They weren’t even able to move three existing windows and install them properly so that the custom blinds could be reinstalled. The size of the opening for doors is not correct so adaptations will be needed to finish the shorty work they are passing of as complete. I went with them, not because they were the cheapest. Because they were not. But because of good reviews. So I sadly put this out there to protect others from their deceitful ways. I noticed other better business bureau complaints that occurred after we had started our project. Beware. You have been warned

The company has been top of the line. They were very professional. They did an amazing job. What I wanted was did much greater than I could have ever imagine. With total remodeling of my entire home, I don’t think I could have bought a newer home with this much detail work and beauty. I would recommend NYMA to everyone, and of course if I need anything in the future, I will use them again.
