"We needed a tv mount above the fireplace that didn't have an outlet. Now we have an outlet and perfectly mounted tv . On point for budget. Incredibly friendly. Excellent work. Cleaned up. I rarely write a review for a product or service unless it's exceedingly above my expectations."

Electrical, plumbing, painting, replaced a cooktop, replaced lighting fixtures, installed deadbolts, Sheet rock work on walls and ceiling and added lighting to attic all to my satisfaction. He arrives when agreed and is very reasonable in his quotes. I have recommended him to friends and he is my go-to handyman whenever i have issues."

"Marvin with M.O. Holt Construction did an amazing job on William’s man cave. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were excellent, and he went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. He was professional, dependable, and took real pride in his work. The finished room looks fantastic. I highly recommend M.O. Holt Construction and will be hiring Marvin again for more projects."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Coax cable connects to your television, modem, or cable box. Look for a female coax connection on these devices. Your coax cable will connect to any of these. The other end of the wire runs to the service connection coming into the house.

While it can be done, hanging a TV on a brick wall without drilling requires thoughtful care. Conditions of the wall, the weight of the TV, any items below the TV, and more must be taken into account. To effectively mount the TV would require specific tools to install, such as TV stands, clamps, and strong adhesives.

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.

In most cases, you should not put a TV on a fireplace mantel. The minimum width required to put a TV safely on a shelf or mantel is 10 inches, but pre-made mantels are usually too shallow, averaging at only seven inches deep. If you do choose to place a TV above a mantel, it should be mounted to the wall. However, do so cautiously as heat radiating from the fireplace could potentially cause damage to electronics.

Yes, you can mount a TV on a brick wall as a DIY project. This process requires specific tools, such as a masonry drill and masonry bits, as a regular power drill is not sufficient for drilling into dense surfaces like brick. You will need to drill mounting holes directly into the bricks, not the mortar, to ensure there is enough support for the weight of the TV and its bracket. After drilling, use large plastic wall anchors or concrete screws to securely attach the TV mount.
