"

I found them on Angie's List. He came out and gave me price for tearing down the old fence that was here and used beautiful new fence in place of it. They did a wonderful job. They did a great job. The manager that manages our subdivision called me and asked who did my fence so he recommended South Gate Fence Company to everybody else that needed to replace their fence.

"We reached out to multiple companies around the Birmingham area and Premier Fence was definitely the best choice in terms of customer service, price, quality, and professionalism. Joe is always courteous and fast with communication. He went out of his way to help us get our fence approved for our HOA. His staff are professional and got the job done in a timely manner without compromising quality. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone without hesitation!"

"They did a great job and fixed my mother's fence section that got torn down. The price was decent, as well. To come to Bagley, all the way from Tuscaloosa was a long drive. The fence looks so much better! I will use them in the future."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Hedges are a better financial investment for a home than fences in several ways. First, hedges are less expensive to install than fences. Fence installation costs $1,775 to $4,600, depending on the type and size. You can also choose to plant smaller and less expensive hedges, knowing that it will take longer for them to mature. Next, mature hedges add resale value to the home, meaning the cost savings get even better when it's time to sell.

Installing an aluminum fence typically takes one to three days, depending on the fence's size, layout complexity, and site conditions. Simple, straight-line installations may take just a day, while larger or more intricate designs with slopes or obstacles can extend the timeline. Professional contractors often complete the job faster than DIY installations.

You can only change your neighbor's fence with their permission. A neighbor's fence is their property, and altering it without their consent could constitute trespassing or property damage, which may have legal consequences. If you have concerns or disagreements about your neighbor's fence, communicate with them openly and try to reach a mutually agreeable solution. If you believe the fence violates local zoning laws or property regulations, consult with local authorities or seek legal advice to address the issue through proper channels.

Paint your fence, install customized fence slats, or attach a bamboo screen for a more appealing yard aesthetic. Paint can give your yard a unique and fun look, and adding fence slats gives you a classic fence appearance. Bamboo screens are probably the most unique option that can add a fun vibe to your space.

Making a homemade pallet fence involves marking out the fence line and leveling the ground along it. Then, install metal or wooden fence posts that you slide the pallets on top of (two posts per pallet). Fasten them together with 2x4 wood boards that act as an extra layer, keeping the pallet fence secure.
