"They called me back within an hour of my online inquiry, and they drove out (very far) to give a quote on the same day. My carport was repaired in less than five days, and the craftmanship is wonderful - you'd never know I crashed my car into it!"
"WA construction was on time and did everything I asked them to do. Alex wad my main contact. He walked me through everything. I am already li ING up my next project with them. I would highly recommend them."
"Brett and his team showed up when they said they would. We have a new build and getting people to show up has been half the battle. We did not have to worry about that with Brett. He also did our whole house paint. His prices are fair. He went above and beyond on our job as our Summertown Metals House build was so bad. Our walls were not straight nor were our ceiling level. With Brett and his teams magic they were able to make things line up and look good. They also cleaned up after themselves and did not leave a mess for us. I have already recommended him to others and will continue to recommend him."
"This is going to be a long review because I think it is important for potential customers to get the full picture, instead of just a view, of Eddy's excellent work ethic and workmanship that was devoted to our project. We had a carriage house/shed that was unusable in its current condition, and I wasn't sure whether to have it torn down or try to have it fixed. Having just bought our new home (a 100 year old Victorian) and moving to the area, I wasn't sure who to contact. I found Eddy's info on Homeadvisor - saw the reviews - and decided to give him a call. And, I am so happy that I did!! After tearing down and clearing out all of the old debris, Eddy added new drywall and painted the inside. Electricity, a concrete driveway and flooring, and 2 new doors were added giving us a wonderfully updated space for our car, storage and workshed. What I want to point out is not just an excellent renovation job, but also the fact that Eddy kept the integrity of such an old building intact. His expertise in recognizing and respecting its historical value was evident after he discovered that one wall had its original barn wood still intact. It had been covered up during a previous renovation - but was still in great condition. (Today, this type of reclaimed wood is very expensive.) Eddy treated the wood to help preserve it, therefore, adding extra value and beauty to a building I had once thought about tearing down. I am so thankful that he recognized its historical value and brought it to our attention!! (Who knew a garage could have a focal wall...lol!!) Eddy kept us up to date and involved in every step of the project, and it was completed within the given time frame. We highly recommend Eddy and his crew, and I am sure we will use his services again!! (In fact, I am alreading lining up future projects.)"
"Hats off to Blake, Arnold, Yoni and team leader Ricardo for doing an awesome job installing our perimeter drain system, sub pumps, and wall moisture barrier. They were knowledgeable, talented, and professional. They showed up on time every day and kept us in the communication loop. Looking forward to having a dry basement in the 50 year old house that we bought last summer. Our sales consultant, Rob L., was also a wealth of information and helped us find an affordable solution to our water issue. We definitely would recommend the Huntsville office of AFS to others!"
"The company stated the method they were going to due to repair the complex stone foundation problem. Mike Pierce kept me informed during the different stages of the process with Jacob and Schuyler, the other workers."
"Exceptional service! I requested the services for my senior parents, and they told me that they were very pleased with the process pre-, during, and post- repair of their foundation. They mentioned how punctual the team was and the fact that they could feel the difference in the flooring after the foundation repairs were complete. I am very appreciative that they went out to a very rural area of Alabama. I highly recommend APS!"
"Blake hung a heavy bronze wall art for me that another installed hung inadequately Additionally, Blake helped install a utility rack in my garage and did a phenomenal job of ensuring everything was nice and level and Center. I highly recommend him and I will probably hire him again in the near future for additional projects"
"EzR Building Inc did a fantastic job on my home repairs/improvements. They are very knowledgable able to do most anything in terms of home improvement. I couldnt be happier with the results of the many projects EZR Building did at my house! They installed kitchen cabinets, sink and counter top, renovated my bathroom, laid tile floors and walls, repaired poor quality work done by a previous contractor, hung a door, did plumbing work, installed a beautiful faux fireplace in my living room plus many other smaller jobs. I highly recommend them for any and all home improvements. If i could give them 20 stars i would!"
Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.
Depending on who you hire to build a retaining wall, the average cost, including demolition and reconstruction, for a 50-foot wall that's 4 feet in height is between $7,000 and $24,000.
Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.
Options include concrete, stone, brick, and wood, tailored for specific design needs.
Yes, to build a retaining wall, a permit is required. Similarly, any repairs or modifications to an existing retaining wall require permits. If the planned wall measures higher than 4 feet, most municipalities require designs and permits come through a licensed engineer. In some locations, if the wall is shorter than 4 feet, a permit may not be required. For the requirements in your area, contact your local government.
