There are at least two companies I contacted that are local to my area (Saraland, AL) that did not respond. Daniel with DC Lawn and Landscape was very professional and arrived on time for our meeting to discuss the work I wanted done. Daniel was knowledgeable about different grass, fertilization, and overall landscaping ideas which allowed me to decide exactly what I wanted. The work scheduled to be performed by DC Lawn and Landscape was lay down new sod (6 pallets) on my front and side yards, perform grade work where needed, and adjust/set-up sprinklers as needed. The work crew was top notch. They had a three man crew that finished the job in about 5 hours. The crew was very courteous and friendly. They were more than happy to discuss any questions I had and if any issues came up they resolved them immediately. One of the sprinkler heads in the front yard was broken during the grading work and they replaced it with a brand new sprinkler. The crew was also knowledgeable especially when talking to them during the sprinkler adjustments/set-up and watering times for the different zones. Once the crew was finished they did a great job cleaning the entire area work was performed (walkways, sidewalks, driveway). Overall I am very pleased with the work DC Lawn and Landscape performed. I would definitely recommend DC Lawn and Landscape to my friends and family

"He came over and he cleaned the chimney. It is an old house. He told me it wasn't up to code anymore, so I shouldn't use the fireplace. But that is ok because he said he would fix it for a couple of thousand dollars. I kind of figured it wasn't up to code because it was an old house. Well we only use the fireplace once or twice a year so I said no that is ok we are not going to invest in that. He was nice enough he just wrote out the estimate and showed what has to be done. He didn't pressure me or anything. He just said if and when you are ready to get it fixed, call me. So, that was a good experience. He was fine. It was a good experience. It was a cheap thing. We have been living in the house for 7 years and I never had to fix it.
So, it was easy to do. On him doing the work, we are not going to do that. We are not going to use the fireplace. He told us he wouldn't use the fireplace if he was me. I believe him. That was the thing I was mostly wanting to do - have it inspected. When I first bought the house, the house inspector said it was fine. I didn't really think that. It was ok. It was a good experience. He did what he came to do. He cleaned the chimney. On quality, it was excellent, he didn't leave a piece of soot here. On responsiveness, he came right away when I made the appointment. On punctuality, he came right on time.

"<p>I called Ellison Plumbing in order to have water line installed from my Water Meter to my house.</p>
<p>First, I contacted them by e-mail. I received a very quick response. Next, I called to schedule a time to meet for the quote. I called them after hours and they had an emergency service number to still answer and take my call. Then they called me that same night to set everything up for the quote. I was unable to meet them at the expected time but they still went out and measured everything for the quote and did not take this opportunity to not go out to the site. </p>
<p>They called me back with the price and their price was actually the lowest price in town. I called 8 providers and they indeed had the lowest quote. The day of the work I called and requested that the waterline be run to the house but not connected to the house as requested by my general contractor. They agree to complete the job in this way per my request. </p>
<p>Upon reviewing their work, they ran the water line as requested. They made sure that the line was buried well underground and safe. Then they also added extra PVC to the end of the line for free in order to make sure it would be as easy as possible for my contractor to use until he is ready to connect it.</p>
<p>I would highly recommend giving Ellison a call and using them for your service. Great job, easy to work with, no hassle or haggling but the best price up front. </p>
