I spoke to one of their personnel, Mr. Eric Diamond. He told me and gave me a card saying that he was the owner, but actually he was not. He came over the next day, and I told him that I was going away for ten days to go to a hospital in Ohio. When I had talked to him on the phone initially, I had asked him if he used Rain Bird products because that's what I wanted, and he told he did and said as a matter of fact, he was the Rain Bird select contractor, and that was one of the proposal/contract thing that I signed with him that he is a select Rain Bird contractor, but he was not which I found out later. When he came over, he looked around the yard and so forth. I already knew about irrigation system and what it requires as far as the coverage. We walked around my yard, I showed him the yard and told him I needed coverage because I had nobody to water as my sister was dying and her daughter would come and do it before that. He left me a Rain Bird select contractor pamphlet showing the products and giving their code of honor and code of ethics and all that stuff and because, he was a select contractor what were the things he would do. I asked him if he could get it done within three weeks, and he said he had a crew of twelve and they would come here and get it done in one day. I said I wanted to have a schematic plan to know where the pipes are because I have an island in the front which has big palm trees and then the back I have a large rose garden which requires special irrigation because I can't sprinkle water on roses, so he saw my whole yard and said he would be out to give me the plan, and then he would have his people come and do the work before I went away, but I never heard from him after that. Before he came over, I had called the county and looked them up in the Better Business Bureau, and it said they had an A+ ratings and that he had no complaints, but he was not a member but a lot of people don’t have to be a member, but he had good ratings and no complaints, so I called the county and asked them about him, and they told me they didn’t know but he was getting a lot of permits so he must be okay, and when I actually looked on the computer, he had pulled about thirty permits for the upcoming month. They came out early morning the next day when I was supposed to leave but I hadn’t as I didn’t get the go. There was a young kid about 20 to 21 years of age, and he was supervising. Mr. Diamond wasn’t there; in fact he had never called me back. They came out and just pulled out the pipes and started trenching. My yard in the front and back looked like some little grids, and they were just putting these pipes everywhere. I couldn’t tell what they were doing, so I came out on the back porch and I was talking to one of the young man who was working with them, and I didn’t know what they were doing as he hadn’t given me a plan, and he told me they thought I was gone. They trenched all over the yard, and I hadn’t had anything wrong with my yard, and I just had a couple of spots I was concerned about that would get a lot of heat when the sun heated, and I had some new plants and shrubs planted which I wanted to be kept watered when I was gone, so I was a little concerned, so I decided to have an irrigation system because I was not able to get out and do this work and I had to have my yard work done as I have a heart condition and a neurological problem together. The young man also told me that he didn’t really do this work and he was a concrete guy, and I thought may be something was strange. At about 1 o'clock, the young man got everybody up and told them to go back to the truck and they had put the sand in the yard and there were clumps allover my yard. He said he would be back to finish up, and I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t even know how to run it or anything else, and the guy didn’t come back and he came back at 6 o'clock with a girl in the evening, and by then it was getting dark. He came walking around the back of the house and started going around adjusting the sprinkler heads. I have a soaker hose in my garage, and this what they had put in my rose garden was like a little piece of brown stuff and they didn’t even cover half of the rose garden. I told him plainly that I had to leave next morning and I had a plane to catch and also that it was dark and he cannot see what he is doing. The next morning before I left for ten days, I called his company and talked to the receptionist and told her that the young man who had come back here after dark didn’t show me how to use it and that he had adjusted things after dark which he couldn’t possibly have seen anything and that I didn’t know what they had done at that point. I came back after ten days and there were areas allover my yard where there was too much water splattered and there were a lots of areas that were totally dead because of no water as it hadn’t rained for about two months. They had put twelve sprayers and my rose garden dripper on one zone and were connected to the city water. They had put one of the sprayer right on the edge of my patio and I was planning to expand my patio. My front yard was right in down the road, and they had put four rotors on the sides with the fences. My average water bills comes around $40 maximum, but my water bill that month was $246, and the water had rotted the grass and the whole top of the yard had died out because it had no water, and my island was rotten and it was a big mess. I called them and asked them why couldn’t they fix it, and he told he was going to have it fixed, but they never did anything. They came out about six times, but they couldn’t do anything. In the front, they had put five sprayers on one side of the driveway. Some of the sprayers were not spraying that much on the shrubs. I went out for two months and when I came back the whole yard had to be replaced because all the grass and shrubs were dead. I called Rain Bird Products and they said he was not a select contractor and his company wasn’t either. His company actually was just a service company, and they just go out and replace sprinkler heads or sell them in the store. When I called the county, they said they didn’t regulate pipes and I said they were not pipes and it was my yard and it was an irrigation system that they had put in. I had to pay around $1300 to get someone to come in to clear up and my ex-husband came down from Georgia and raked all the dead grass, about 15 to 20 bags. I had to pay $4000 to have someone come and fix my yard. I am sure most people know about him by now that he is lying to everybody. Mr. Diamond came here one more time, and I showed him what happened. His technicians were good, and he had two nice technicians, but they just fix things in the ground. They had set the timer for rotors to go off at 5:30 in the morning, but three of the rotors started going off in the mid day and I couldn’t cut them off and they just kept running over and over. I read the book and did everything to troubleshoot, and since it was a Saturday they weren’t there till Monday, and by then, my lawn would have been flooded with this water. In the back of the book, it said if there was a problem with the power, then I needed to pull out the first panel off and put it back and reset it and it might go off, and that's what I did to finally get it cut off. I called Mr. Eric Diamond and asked him if I could speak to Ms. Cynthia Diamond who is listed as the president and he was listed as the manager, and he asked why I needed to speak to her, and I said that he wouldn’t talk to me and he was hateful with me. He told she hasn’t anything to do with this business, and I said she does as she was the president. He is not qualified to be a contractor, and he got an irrigation contract recently; however, irrigation contractor can only connect pipes, and they cannot do anything else. He had also put permits under plumbing when he is not a plumber. Their company was horrible, but their technicians were very prompt
