Small jobs welcome

"We highly recommend Shane and his company! His responsiveness was exceptional. He came over at the end of a long day to help us when other plumbers were scheduling several days out. His pricing was also incredibly competitive. Most other quotes exceeded Shane’s total price for the installation alone, before even including the cost of the system itself. Beyond that, Shane was personable, professional, and clearly cared about doing the job right. He made sure everything was completed properly and that we were completely satisfied before he left. We could not have asked for a better experience!"

"After getting two other quotes from competitors, Clean Team beat both. David, estimator and master plumber, was very professional and patient with all of our requests. This job was a big project and was estimated to take up to two full weeks. Their men finished in less time than expected even with unforeseen hiccups that arose. Plumber Rudy and Chris B. were excellent in providing not only quality work, but great customer service. They also finished patching sheetrock the same day the indoor work was completed. We are not easy to please when it comes to projects on the house, and we are so grateful we went with Clean Team Plumbing."

"Sometimes, when a big-ticket item needs to be purchased for your home, there’s a fear of hiring the wrong people for the job. That was not the case with AFS. My salesperson, Brian, didn’t talk over my head. He’s a good ol' boy and a real one at that, which means a lot to me. He explained everything in layman's terms, which I appreciated since I don’t know much about houses or repairs. This is my first home, and I’m 40 years old. When my floors started to show moisture, swell, and buckle, I was completely lost. Brian explained the science behind everything clearly. He didn’t talk down to me, try to oversell, scare, or pressure me. With over 15 years of experience as a salesperson myself, I can tell the difference. Brian didn’t sell me; he gave me options, asked questions, provided information, and allowed me to make a decision on my own time. He was courteous, punctual, and professional. Secondly, the installation process was fantastic. My installers—Josh, Lewis, and Cameron—were excellent. They showed me everything and explained each step. They were courteous and spoke to me with respect. I really love this company and will recommend their business to everyone I meet. I feel to the need to let anyone who reads this post know. The customer service that AFS provided was on par with Costco and Chick-fil-A. If you have ever been to these places, you know the feeling like the person your speaking to actually cares about your needs that is this company. With that being said it is my opinion that the top three companies with the best customer service are as followed AFS, Costco and Chick-fil-A they are in A League of Their Own. Nobody else comes close. Semper Fi gentlemen Cpl Schuyler D Powell USMC 6092 A/F mechanic"

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

To install or move washer and dryer hookups, you will likely need a combination of professionals. A plumber can handle the water supply lines and drain pipes. If you have a gas dryer, a plumber certified for gas lines or an HVAC specialist will be needed to run the gas line. An electrician is required to install the correct electrical outlets. For simpler jobs, a local handyperson may suffice, while a contractor might be needed for tasks like drywall repair for the new vents.

Draining a pool with a garden hose can take between eight and 14 hours depending on the depth of your pool and whether you use a sump pump. Be sure to stay close to the pool during this time to ensure the structure of your pool remains unharmed and that the water drains properly.

How much it will cost to install an earthquake shut-off valve depends on who’s doing the installation. The price of the earthquake shut-off valve itself can cost between $250 and $750, and you’ll pay between $150 and $200 for labor if you hire a licensed plumbing contractor. If you install the valve yourself, you’ll save on labor, but you might need to spend $50 to $300 on the right tools for the job (and it’s a complex job that we don’t recommend DIYing).

You can use normal solder, which consists of a tin and copper alloy, on copper pipes. You should avoid using leaded solder, especially if you're soldering together water supply lines, as it will contaminate drinking water. One way to test if your copper pipes contain lead is to scrape off the solder. If the scraped area is shiny, it likely contains lead.

The likely culprit is an air lock somewhere in your pipes. This is especially true if the warm water upstairs is accompanied by a decline in water flow. Other causes of this issue include frozen pipes, leaks, damaged supply lines, and more. There’s a simple DIY fix to try for air locks: Turn the hot water and cold water faucets on for a minute, then turn off the cold water and then the hot water. Repeat this process two or three times.
