- HATHCOCK ROOFING & REMODELINGCory Clayton of Hathcock, took a 15K deposit from me nearly a year ago and accomplished very little in 3 months. Had to let him go because he was trying to find other ways to string the project along without accomplishing anything. He tried to get by using the cheapest materials. After I let him go, I told him I would need an accounting of how the 15k was applied and the overage returned to me. I especially needed this for my insurance adjuster. He refused to send me this information. He also refused to give me the information of the plumber and electrician who had worked at my house. I had to get an attorney to write demand letters. Then all he did was have his attorney write letters to my attorney, using delaying tactics for several months. He finally sent his version of an accounting, which included jacked-up prices that did not match my adjuster's estimate. Nearly a year later, I still do not have the difference returned to me. Deceptive practices all the way around

Helpful. I just can't say enough good things about them. They knew what they were doing and probably most importantly they worked as a team...which is so important. - A Cut Above CarpentryThis is the second job we have hired A Cut Above to perform due to the fact that the first (a bathroom repair/remodel on another rental property) job was done so well and in just a few days for a very reasonable cost. Paul and his crew were great to work with. Very responsive, courteous and friendly. Paul continuously kept us updated on the progress of the job. Although the job took several months from start to finish, (due to no fault of the Cut Above Crew) the job was done efficiently and in a timely matter. In fact we have a few other small jobs that Paul's crew will be working on at our personal residence in the next couple of weeks. Replaced walls with new sheetrock. Installed ceremic tiles on the floor. Painted ceiling and walls. Replaced the sink and sink cabinet. Replaced the toilet. Installed a new mirror. Also hooked back up the ceiling light and other electrical as needed and removed all the packaging from the property.. The entire job only took three days and the quality of work was excellent. I am very happy with the job and the cost! Will definitely hire again for future projects
- JAH IndustriesJAH did a complete remodel of our kitchen. This involved removing two walls to open everything up. There is not enough I can say about this company. I was extremely nervous in the beginning after hearing horror stories from others who had similar work done by other companies, but John Horchen quickly put all of my fears to rest. It was as if he could see into my head and put down on paper what I had dreamed . From the very beginning John and his crew were on point. From John's drawing of the plans right up until the final trim was placed, I could not have been happier. His crew was there every day and even a few Saturdays, when they felt they were behind. The work went more quickly that I could have dreamed. His crew was polite, trustworthy and hard working. The end result is far more than I could have dreamed. The attention to the smallest details has made this kitchen a showplace that I will be proud of for years to come. We will use JAH again and again and again

"I submitted an inquiry online and Wayne came out and did an estimate the same week. We picked our color and two weeks later the workers were here doing the work. It was only supposed to take 3 days, but it ended up taking about 8 days. The quality of the material is great and it looks like they knew what they were doing I hope this last for so many years. I am amazed at how it looked before versus how my home looks now. I will be using them in future for other home decor in the future.

"<p>After initial call follow up was quick and an estimator called to schedule visit. He was on time (early actually), called to find out if it was OK to come earlier. He was friendly and professional and handled all the paperwork for the claim. Was a USAA recommended provider so they took care of everything.</p>
<p>Estimate done and approved. Side note: USAA is very easy to work with, even when we added some additional items to the original claim !</p>
<p>Workers (Dave & Don) should up on time and proceeded to get to work. Replaced 8 posts and reset ~80 feet of fence, replacing boards where necessary. Fast and professional both were personable and dealt with all homeowners questions. Shed entrance was done even with the interference of a lone snake and weather. </p>
<p>They returned the following Monday to do the gate. Again, on time and the same work crew. Replaced the existing gate with a new pin hinged gate and section of fence they didn't like the looks of. Had to race a storm again and got done with a few minor showers. </p>
<p>Adjuster was terrific to work with when changes were made to original estimate as new items were added. Made several trips to check on work and to get insurance checks signed. </p>
<p>Happy with job and would recommend and use again!</p>
