"Chris and his crew (Dale and Tony) arrived on time and every detail was taken into consideration. They completed my wooden privacy fence in less time than I anticipated. I was so impressed with the communication, follow through and the finished product that I recommended him to a family member who needed some fencing work done. I would definitely recommend and hire Precision Contracting for my future fencing needs."

"Hunter reviewed our plans and made some additional recommendations. We still owned the process and he did his best to create our vision out of hardscape material. He was prompt to come out and gave a very detailed estimate, breaking down materials and service. There was no doubt what was included in the quote. There were other firms that quoted the project at a lower price that did not get the job because their quote was too ambiguous. When it came to the installation, they were prompt, detailed and clean. Within three days they were complete. At the end of each workday the cleaned up and left the site presentable. We received great value and great service. We are delighted with HDR Landscaping’s work and highly recommend them"

"

I found them on Angie's List. He came out and gave me price for tearing down the old fence that was here and used beautiful new fence in place of it. They did a wonderful job. They did a great job. The manager that manages our subdivision called me and asked who did my fence so he recommended South Gate Fence Company to everybody else that needed to replace their fence.

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install a fence is between $1,800 and $4,500. However, the price can vary significantly based on several factors. For a small DIY project, costs could be as low as $450, while fencing a large property like a 5-acre yard can exceed $43,000. Key factors that influence the total cost include the fence's size and height, the material used, the complexity of the design, site preparation needs, and any additional features like gates. The cost of raw materials, manufacturing, and custom fabrication can also impact the final price.

The plants that grow well on a hog wire fence are any type of climbing or vining plant. This includes garden crops such as green beans, squash, and potatoes as well as jasmine and ivy. Compared to other farm fencing costs, hog wire comes at an affordable price and makes a great trellis if you plant climbing vines along the base of the fence.

Installing a picket fence includes measuring and marking the area where you plan to build the fence, laying out all of the materials, digging post holes, setting the posts using concrete, measuring the rails, attaching the rails, attaching the pickets, and then painting or staining the fence if you chose a wooden fence material

The depth of your post hole depends on your post length. If you decide on a two-rail fence, the posts are likely 6 feet long. You want your hole to be at least 1/3 of the post length. In this case, your post hole should be two feet deep.

If you opt for a three-rail fence, the posts will typically be 7 feet long, meaning your post hole should be 28 inches deep.

The bottom strand should sit between 12 to 15 inches from the ground. If you have a problem with small critters, you can aim for 8 inches. Three-strand fences should be 16 to 19 inches apart, four-strand fences should be 10 to 12 inches apart, and five-strand fences should be 8 and 10 inches apart.
