Since there is little room to plow snow effectively from a driveway in my subdivision, the snowblowing was great. I called for an estimate and within a couple of days a representative was there. Very personable, knowledgeable about what the company offered. Advised that once work was settled for the season that it would be after the inches we agreed on had fallen, and be around the same time of day. The workers were personable also, efficient, neat & reliable. Most of the time I was able to move my 2nd vehicle out of the way because I knew about what time they would be there. If not, they shoveled the snow away from the 2nd vehicle to blow it out of the way. Price was competitive. Billing on time and accurate. I will most definitely use this service each winter they are in business and offer the snowblowing feature. I realized I had about 5 inches of snow/ice packed down in my long driveway and that I would need to do some serious chipping if I wanted to see the pavement anytime soon. I called the number and was greeted with a friendly, efficient person. She took my name, address and phone number and told me I would be contacted soon.
Glen called about 5 minutes later. He quoted me a price over the phone and said he had time that same afternoon. He arrived on time and got right to work. He clearly enjoys his big-boy toy of a skid steer with tracks. That machine can really handle Alaska's icy conditions. With record snow falls this year, our driveway berms were 4-5 feet high. He pushed them well back into our lawn, greatly widening our driveway and making room for all the ice/snow pack from the driveway. Also, when the snow begins to melt it will go into the lawn and not refreeze on the driveway. He worked quickly and efficiently and chopped up all the packed snow and removed it from the driveway.
It took about an hour or so to complete the work. When he was done, I asked him to move a pile of snow that was blocking a downstairs window and he did the requested work with a smile, adding another 10 minutes to his work time. I feel I received a good value for my money.
It was a pleasure doing business with this company. I like hiring people that enjoy their work and do it well. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for driveway scraping. Their other winter services include snow berm removal and snow berm haul-off. They are also a landscape company. I will definitely be using this company's services in the future."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ak/anchorage/master%27s-hand-landscaping-inc-reviews-7498060.htm"},"position":10}]}

I was very happy with the work that was done. My driveway looked pretty bad and it looks almost like new. It was the best price of my estimates and looks great. They did my neighbors driveway four years ago and it still looks great. I will recommend this company.

I looked for a provider to replace entire paved driveway, as the driveway was badly frost-jacked or frost-heaved in front of garage, and other parts of the driveway had dips and bumps. Initially took 2 months of constantly contacting Alaska Infrared, both the owner Bill Tucker and the Office...

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts
The cost to replace a driveway ranges from $8 to $15 per square foot, depending on factors that include material, size, and labor. If your driveway has deep cracks, potholes, or drainage issues (or if it’s simply past its prime), replacement might be the smarter investment over constant repairs. Resurfacing can be a cheaper alternative at $3 to $20 per square foot, but it won’t fix your driveway’s underlying problems.
Even with regular maintenance, most driveways don’t last much longer than 30 years. Alligator cracking is a clear warning sign that your driveway’s foundation is failing, and cracks that are deep and wide can let water in, causing more damage. Standing water is another red flag. If your driveway doesn’t drain properly, it’s going to degrade slowly. Finally, if you’re seeing dips or uneven patches, that’s a sign the base layer or soil is shifting. If these issues pop up, it’s time to replace your driveway.
If you’re looking for a similar, eco-friendly driveway material, you might consider one of these options:
Permeable pavement: This material is sometimes called “pervious” or “porous” pavement; it allows stormwater to drain into the subbase, eliminating storm drain costs.
Gravel: Consider paving your driveway with locally sourced gravel. By sourcing from a nearby source, your money won’t fund international shipping and will be invested back into your local community.
Natural stone pavers: Because natural stone pavers are made from organically-produced stone, there’s no new manufacturing required, limiting the environmental impact. In addition, water easily flows and drains through the gaps in the pavers.
Gravel is one of the few driveway materials that can handle rain the second it’s installed. Unlike asphalt, which needs days to set, or concrete, which requires weeks to cure, gravel is ready as soon as it’s compacted. It’s naturally permeable, allowing water to drain straight through—with no risk of pooling or surface damage. Gravel driveways are one of the most affordable, at $1 to $3 per square foot, and can also last upward of 100 years.
Asphalt is cost-effective, quick to install, and offers longevity with proper maintenance.
