Pioneer Peak paved our drive about eight months ago. They were very thorough with the prep work so the base was flat and well compacted. The drive and parking area have different slopes, and the workers put a lot of effort into getting the grade right. The first time it rained, I could see why they fussed so much. Drainage is just about perfect. At most there might be 1/8 inch standing water in a couple places in the parking area. The asphalt hardened up well, and after 8 months I can not find any defects. We were very pleased with their work - should have had it done years ago.

The job was overall done well but I had to wait over 12 weeks for him to do the job. He never made contact to say why I was waiting so long but was very polite and apologetic when ever I called him. He seems to put contractors first

I was really worried paving so much driveway would prove too difficult and leave a lot of unevenness, lines, and low spots. None of that happened in the finished product. All 6,000 feet of my driveway is seamless and even. What really impressed me is that they paved two of my next door neighbor's house on the same day. Which is amazing is because it looks like they spent all day on mine.
I would recommend this company and used it again for these particular reasons:
1. I was given good advice that saved me hundreds of dollars. I was going to install underground PVC pipes to drain water away from house and driveway and into the ditch. Instead, they just added a very slight slope to the driveway to move water away from the house. 2. I got way more than I paid for. I was quoted for 2and quot; D1 gravel and 2and quot; asphalt. The gravel is on average 4and quot; and 8and quot; at its highest point. There is as much as 4and quot; of asphalt along the perimeter of the house in some areas. They also made the entrance of the driveway 2 feet wider to make it more aesthetically pleasing free of charge.3. The quality of work is superb.
