"The Fence Guy did a great job. They removed all the old fence; reset posts, which had broken in a windstorm; replaced the back fence line. The Fence Guy was great to work with. Very professional, did good work, in reasonable amount of time. After calling around for nearly a month, The Fence Guy is the only company that actually came out to look at my problem (others on here with A ratings - no call backs). I would recommend the Fence Guy to anyone needing a new fence or a fence repaired."

At Makari Construction we believe that producing quality work, with financial transparency is the key to a successful contracting company. Unlike many contracting companies, bids and invoices are itemized with labor hours and material receipts so the customer can see where their money was contributed to the completion of a project. And if there is an opportunity to save finances on a budget, those savings are directly reflected on the customers invoice, rather than the contractor keeping that extra profit. We can perform any function from a simple honey-do list, to full remodels and additions. By building our foundation on honesty and transparency, we build stronger relationships with our customers.

Each project is designed for the individual customer and satisfaction with the completed project is our primary goal. Working together with you during the design/build process is one of the best ways to assure your satisfaction. We work with you until we have what you want. Using an experienced contractor helps bring extensive knowledge of the materials and construction techniques to the design/build process. This adds value to the project by helping you select the right materials and construction methods. This helps to avoid the unnecessary expense of labor and material cost. Our service starts with your very first phone call to our company. During our business hours of Monday through Friday 8-am to 5pm you will be able to speak directly with someone in our office. We will briefly discuss the project, get some basic information and set up an appointment to look at your home. At our first meeting we will discuss your basic project, ideas and budget. We will show before and after pictures of past projects and discuss basic costs and fees for design work, building permits and so on. We will take some basic measurements and a few digital pictures of the project location. The first meeting usually takes about 1 hour. With this information we can prepare a preliminary estimate. If the project is simple, we may be able to give you an estimate on the spot. Once the preliminary estimate is done we will set up a second appointment either over the phone or in person. At the second appointment we will review the preliminary estimate and discuss the project in more depth. Most people are able to decide at this point, with the information provided, if they are ready to proceed on with their improvements.

Specialist in Home Energy Saving Garage Doors. We repair all garage doors, garage door openers, and gate operators.

"If I could give them ZERO or negative starts I would. THE WORST company on the planet. They are the installer for Home Depot, which Home Depot expressed for months that they were cutting ties for this company. Our garage door finally arrived to Alaska after 6 long months of waiting, which was a great shipping time. It was delivered to the installer beginning of October. After weeks of calling and leaving messages between Hope Depot my wide and I, to both the husband and wife that own the company, Home Depot finally got ahold of the company, end of November, They said that they had a bunch of orders hit their lap and were going through them and would be calling and setting up an install date. More weeks went by, all of us calling and leaving messages again, Home Depot finally got ahold of them for an install date in January 2023. The most unprofessional company. There is no reason they could have not returned anyones phone calls to tell us, hey we received your messages, we will get you taken care of, but no NOTHING! We recommend this company to NO ONE. Now, work wise, they came the day as promised, installed and did a good job. I just wish they were an ethical company."

Fullmers Painting can assist you with your paint projects.

"The initial painting went well. A bunch of older high schoolers/young college age kids doing most of the work. They spent about as much time talking to each other as painting. Paint started peeling off a large section of soffit after the first winter now after second winter paint has started peeling off of additional sections of the soffit around the house. I repainted the first section myself being careful to clean, sand and prime and haven't had any additional problems. They used only a paint/primer in one to save time. Given the age of my house, more care should have been taken to prep the surfaces and a primer should have been used. I guess they were the cheapest option for a reason and you get what you paid for."

Driveway Gates questions, answered by experts

Your wooden gate post hole should be a third to a half of the height of the post. Also, note that the diameter of the post hole should be three times the diameter of the post. You should set the post in concrete to ensure a long-lasting and durable post that will withstand the test of time.

It does matter which way a hinge is installed because it’s possible to install a hinge backward. The hinge pin should face the direction in which the door will swing, making the pin visible. Exterior doors that swing outward need a security hinge with an Allen set screw in the center to prevent someone from removing the hinge from the outside and accessing the home or business.

Yes, driveway gates can help secure your home by deterring burglars from accessing your property. Climbing a gate slows down burglars while also attracting attention to your gate. If you live further down your property and want to increase security, you can also install a gate security camera that connects to your gate and monitors the area for suspicious activity.

Your dog might be able to slip underneath chewable, flexible fabric gate covers. When you have a wayward woofer, using wooden panels that come within an inch or two of the ground is the most secure option. You may need a metal defense barrier dug into the soil to keep your dog from digging under your fence or gate.

You can install a privacy cover on your wrought iron gate anytime. However, pick a dry day if you apply stain or paint to the paneling. If you’re hiring a local fencing contractor, they often offer better rates in their low season outside the busy spring and summer months.
