I reviewed the options on Angie's List and didn't see any that would work for us, so went to the Internet. I had a limited window of time slots open for the chimney sweeps to do the work. This company was available in the narrow window. They arrived on time and did the work in a short time. They were expecting a mess and were pleasantly surprised that the fireplace chimney was in such great condition with almost no residue in the chimney. They were nice, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again, but they said good chance we wouldn't need any work for another 19 years.

Clean-up was very good and quality of work was excellent. Special attention was paid to the flashing and they put a diverter wall behind the chimney at no additional charge (other contractors charged extra).

I made this appt months in advance. He looked in the chimney said it was clean vacuumed out some of the soot and asked for $95.00. I asked him why didn't he clean the fireplace and he told me that would be $150.00. He was doing an inspection. I have used this company before and they always cleaned the glass and left the firebox super clean. Not this time. told him thanks for letting me know never to use thm again. He laughed and left.

There were three people working behind the counter, one took our keys and the other left with the first man to go change our oil. We had one customer ahead of us who was seen and taken care of withing 15 minutes. Nearly and hour later, we were informed that our cars were about to be serviced. They were in and out quite quickly with the vehicles, less than 10 minutes. However, as we were leaving we noticed a strange odor in the vehicle. Assuming there was oil on the engine, we drove home and checked under the hood to be sure.
THERE WAS AN ENTIRE FULL QUART OF OIL IN IT'S BOTTLE WEDGED INTO AND MELTING ALL OVER OUR EXHAUST MANIFOLD!!
My husband checked his truck and not only was the oil cap not replaced, it is gone. This is the single WORST experience I have ever had with vehicle maintenance in my life!!! required services. They explained my responsibility for contacting the utility.
I explained my request for specific materials and the office staff verified who would
be responsible for supplying the materials.
There was some confusion about the exact sequence of events aforehand
with the customer coordination of the utility and company. This is reasonable
given the unusual service event requiring the utility to turn off the house
supply.
The plumber arrived "promptly" upon notification that the utility had turned off
the main supply. And by "promptly" I mean 10 minutes from the call to the office
to the plumber walking through the door.
The plumber was dressed professionally, cleanly and appropriately to the
business. His demeanor, conduct and personality were excellent for his
business and job.
The plumber was fully equipped with all the required tools and supplies
necessary for the required job. He installed very good quality materials
and even capped the drain valve with a brass cap. This is a sign of a
complete and quality professional job.
The plumber notified me of his nearing completion of the job and advised me
to contact the utility to regarding turning back on of the water. He advised me
of the required sequence for turning back on the supply to the house. As the
utility arrived within 5 minutes of requesting a turn on, the plumber stayed and
executed the turn on sequence himself.
There were NO problems with the work.
I will be using this contractor again as required.

Chris Berga, the owner of Signature Roofing LLC, and his crew replaced my roof, as well as the other half of the zero-lot-line?s roof in just a little over two days and they were GREAT! The bid was in line with other bids (the price above is for my half of the job); however, what really sold...

Chimney caps may be installed by a few different professionals, including a chimney sweep or a mason that specializes in fireplaces and chimneys. A gas fireplace technician is the best person to install a chimney cap on a gas log fireplace vent to be sure the cap is appropriate for the application.
A chimney cap costs about $300 on average. The prices range from about $75 to $1,000, depending on the material, size, any repairs needed, and if your chimney cap requires custom fabrication. Chimney caps are usually made from galvanized steel, copper, or stainless steel. Additional costs may include hiring a chimney sweep to clean the chimney before a cap is installed.
Yes, it’s worth capping a chimney. Here are several reasons to install a chimney cap:
Keep out rain, snow, wildlife, and other debris
Help prevent chimney fires
Reduce your chimney’s exposure to moisture
Maintain your chimney flue liner
Help reduce energy bills by helping regulate your home’s temperature
Typically, a chimney cap will last from three to 25 years. This wide range is due to variables like climate, the material the cap is made from, and how often you use your fireplace. Regular inspections and maintenance can help extend the life of your chimney cap.
The best style of chimney cap for a brick chimney is one that fits tightly around the brick top of the chimney. The cap should have a screen to fully enclose it to keep animals out. The best materials include stainless steel, copper, or aluminum that fit tightly or are custom fabricated for a perfect fit on your chimney.
