"Friendly, ready to work, and cleans up after himself. He was the first to respond and was available to work on my timeline. He went out of his way to help me out with another problem. The drywall and paint job was done by a professional."

Customers say: Quick response

"Luzberto and his crew were friendly and worked with us to make several repairs along with the repainting. Weather did play a role in length of time to finish but we weren’t in a hurry so didn’t bother us that it did take several weeks to finish. Honestly we weren’t sure this late in the summer if we would get anything before next year."

"My job had some challenges. The sanding of the job is not great, I will have to sand quite a bit, before I paint. The job ran quite long. I was told 10 days. After day 6 there was no contact for a week. Tools were still on site, so I knew they'd be back. Job finished in four weeks, not 10 days. Partially because of the details of my home and uneven walls. I would hire him again."

"My project was ceiling sheetrock repair/texture/paint after the electrician had to remove areas of sheetrock to install of new recessed lights throughout our first floor. Greg was very professional, easy to work with, takes pride in his work, does great work and his prices were reasonable. I would hire him again in a heartbeat."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

While certain types of textured walls can seem dated (looking at you, popcorn), textured walls are a common sight in both older and more modern homes. The main reason textured walls may be here to stay is that they are an excellent way to hide minor imperfections on a wall and give it a finished appearance. Some homeowners think a coat of paint on drywall is a bit industrial-looking. However, that look works perfectly in modern home design

There are six levels of drywall finish, from 0 to 5, that refer to the amount of work performed during the finishing process.

Level 0: Drywall is hung with no finishing work.

Level 1: Tape is placed over the seams between drywall sheets.

Level 2: A thin layer of mud is applied over the tape and screw holes. This level is common for utility rooms or walls that will be covered.

Level 3: A full coat of mud covers the screw holes and tape, but the surface is not sanded. This is often used in garages.

Level 4: This is the most common finish for visible interior walls. It involves applying two coats of mud over seams and screw holes, with sanding between each coat, creating a smooth surface ready for flat paint.

Level 5: This is a high-end finish for luxury homes. It includes full taping, mudding, and sanding, plus a final skim coat over the entire surface before painting.

The best way to make long, straight cuts is to use a utility knife and a T-square to score the sheet, snap along the score, and then finish the cut by cutting through the paper on the opposite side with the utility knife. If you’re making small cuts, curved cuts, or cutouts for electrical boxes or light fixtures, you can use a manual jab saw to keep costs down, but an electric spiral saw or oscillating multi-tool will get the cleanest, fastest cuts possible.

Yes, if there is mold in your drywall mud and you then use it to build walls in your house—or if mold develops in your set drywall, like it can in hot and humid areas—it can lead to illness. Mold in your drywall (or other parts of your home) can make existing respiratory conditions or allergies worse, and the effect can be more intense for those who have existing health issues or compromised immune systems.

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.
