"While the company did a very good job on the upstairs level, they were not as careful on the downstairs, and were not willing to come back to make the corrections. Several areas required additional work, including repair of the ceiling unevenness, some wall prep in other places, and adding more coats to the wood trim. (3 were promised, got only 1 in some places, 2 at other places, etc.) I selected this bid for the promise of excellent finished look; had bids for this job that were much lower ($3500, $4500) and I was very explicit with what the requirements were. (To be fair, I also had higher $$ bids, this bid was mid-range). The owner worked with me to cut the total cost, which I appreciated - we removed basement area, and he gave a discount. He obliged on the upper floor - has redone several, even small imperfections, etc. For the lower level, I was told that they already done more than necessary for this job, and I needed to fix the rest of imperfections myself. It may be that I have a high standard. But at the same time, they did not spend an hour longer on the job than they planned originally, (actually, exited after 3.5 days, out of expected 4-5 days), so I really don't accept the argument that the job was done "more and beyond" what was called for. I am not a fully satisfied customer... Had to pay another company to fix it.show more

"My experience with Champion Kitchens was wonderful. The initial in-home estimate went well, Steve was on time and very thorough. Following that I met with John in the office to go over materials and prospective layout. I found the computer model very helpful in visualizing what the final outcome would be and I appreciated John's knowledgeable input. Throughout the process they were respectful of what I wanted for my kitchen. When it came time for the work to be completed I was impressed at the efficiency of their crews. They kept a regular schedule and I felt that the project was in good hands the whole time. Their plumber discovered a cracked return pipe when they got into the wall and floor, which added a little bit to the price, but they communicated this information to me as soon as it was discovered, and to be honest I had been bracing for such a thing given the age of my house. The plumber had a plaster guy come out on a Saturday to patch up the large hole that resulted as he informed me it was a little beyond his skill set. I appreciated his honesty and the final result looks great. I had my own floor contractor come in as I wanted a cork floor, which was something their go-to flooring company did not do. Again they were very respectful of my choice and took care to protect my new floor as they completed the remainder of their work. It took a little while to get the counters in as they had to be created to fit my somewhat wavy existing walls, but it was worth the wait. They're just laminate but they look great. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.show more

"Carl and his crew painted all of our kitchen cabinets, a butlers pantry and small bar area. It was a massive amount of cabinets. There was no continuity prior to this painting project. Carl gave us great advice for the color scheme and then did his thing. He set up a “paint shop” in my garage where he sprayed all of the doors and drawer faces. (He quarantined the area and put paper on the floor. hence, no overspray or stains.)He and his crew showed up on time and were all completely professional. I like Carl / Primacy Painting because he is an extremely “picky” person and will not settle for anything less than perfection. He knows his trade and what additives to add to the paint for durability. It has been several months since he painted our kitchen cabinets and they show no signs of ware. We get so many compliments on how this paint project has improved our house. If you want the job done right at a reasonable price, I cannot recommend Carl and primacy painting any higher.show more

"Ray responded promptly to my call and provided an estimate for the service even though he seldom takes that small a job. He gave some advise and a convincing explanation on the type of paint he generally uses. He advised that he could complete the job and have the house livable in one day. He scheduled at my convenience and arrived promptly with two employees that morning. I remained outdoors or in a bedroom that was not being painted so was able to look in from time to time. They worked steadily and carefully and completed the project by mid-afternoon. They replaced the furniture and removed any debris from the worksite leaving the excess paint. Overall it was a very satisfactory experience with minimal disruption and most important a lovely new paint job.show more
