"Josh arrived not only on time but early and did a thorough, professional inspection of the 100-year-old home we were considering buying. He was honest and laid out the facts (the good, the bad, the ugly) of exactly what he saw. No sugar-coating and no pulling punches either. I got the distinct feeling that he was working for us and that his goal was to give us the unbiased information we needed to make a decision on the house. He returned phone calls, did everything he said he was going to do, and spent lots of time explaining results to us. His written report was just right, too... to the point with supporting photographs but not "padded" with extraneous or generic information. A lot of people are reluctant to spend money on inspectors and especially on extra tests, but this was money well spent for us. In our case, the mold test came back very high, which was a deal-killer. We were glad we invested in an inspection and were completely satisfied with Josh's service. We'll hire him again.show more

"I cannot recomend A1 Sewer Cleaning enough. Roto-Rooter spent over 3 hours trying to unclog the sewer line but we unable. A1 came the following morning and the drain was cleared in less than a half hour. They even hosed the basement floor afterwards. Mel and Curtis did the work and were awsome. "I looked at several companies on Angie's List to find one to inspect a home I am thinking about purchasing.&nbsp; I specifically wanted one that was an ASHI certified inspector and cross-referenced the ASHI website to find one that had also been evaluated on Angie's list. <br /> I contacted Home Check on 3/17 by email and phone.&nbsp; They quickly returned my call and were able to schedule my inspection for the following week on 3/26.&nbsp;&nbsp;I arranged for my&nbsp;Dad to meet Bryan at the house (since I was working) and Bryan called me the morning of the inspection&nbsp;to let me know he would be running&nbsp;a bit late - unfortunately, I didn't get the message right away and wasn't able to call my Dad (or the Realtor) in time to let them know - so they both ended up having to wait for about 45 minutes at the house. <br /> Despite being a little bit behind schedule, I felt that Bryan&nbsp;did a very thorough job and spent more than enough&nbsp;time investigating&nbsp;every area of the house.&nbsp; He was there for over four hours!&nbsp; I met him at the house&nbsp;when I got off of work, and&nbsp;he patiently walked me through what he had found&nbsp;so far and answered my questions as he finished inspecting&nbsp;the rest of the house.&nbsp; I felt very comfortable knowing that he was working on my behalf and advocating for me as the buyer - he pointed out a lot of minor details that I feel many other inspectors would have just&nbsp;glossed over.&nbsp; <br /> Bryan was willing to work overtime to get me the inspection report within the next two days - but, since I wasn't in a huge hurry,&nbsp;I told him that getting it that&nbsp;weekend would be fine and he emailed me the inspection report and pest inspection on our agreed upon date of 3/29.&nbsp; The report was easy to read, included lots of pictures, and went over everything that we talked about in person plus many more items that he noted on his own.&nbsp; It was a total of 46 pages long.&nbsp; <br /> My real estate agent felt that the report was &quot;overkill&quot;, but I was able to&nbsp;use the report in further negotiations with the seller - asking them&nbsp;to repair some items that Bryan found (such as cleaning up rodent feces under the attic insulation) - which meant more work/hassle for my real estate agent who was probably hoping for an easy sale/commission.&nbsp; In the end, I&nbsp;was very pleased with the services that Bryan provided and would definitely recommend Home Check&nbsp;to my family and friends!&nbsp; <br /> <br /> <br />show more

"The team was here on time and explained the process they were going to complete. They nice and professional. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. We didn't need to leave the home. The whole process took 3.5 hours. I have a ranch home covering 1500 sq feet. After everything was completed they cleaned up after themselves.
