We bought a beautiful 1920s home with a gutted Master Bathroom and no water pressure to fill a tub and flush the toilet. The Healey Company worked with us to design a luxurious bathroom befitting of our unique barnyard chic style. We love 3-form material and their carpenter build our Jacuzzi siding and cabinets using the material. We installed heated floors and marble countertops. However, before that we needed to install new plumbing to make our waterfall showerhead feel like the Amazon versus a cry baby. The Healey Company's painter and drywall specialist were meticulous and precise. Their handy man was helpful and frank with every detail. These guys may be a little more expensive than cousin Joe but they stick with a job until its pristine and thorough

Michael Healy (contractor) and David Morgan (architect) met with us several time and were quite patient as we worked through at least a half-a-dozen options with detailed drawings before we finally decided on a plan. They worked very well together, and clearly had done so many times before. Michael was very detailed in our planning, making every effort make certain that we understood out options and choices, and tried to leave nothing to chance. Micheal's crew took great pains in prep to cover all parts of our house which were exposed to work. Early on, it became clear that there was an error in the renderings that made it necessary for us to make changes in our plans. Michael accepted full responsibility for the error and met us at least half-way on the additional expenses required to make the necessary changes. Most of the workermen were Michael's employees. The lead carpenter and plaster/drywall man were exceptional. In my view, the lead carpenter is a cabinet maker, working as a carpenter. The electrician, plumber, and tile man were subcontractors. The electrician and plumber did fine work, although they were not as easily available Michael's employed workers. The tile man came highly recommended, but we had some complaints about some of his work (although it's possible that one of his helpers did some of the work). The tile detail accents were not level, but with a simple request from us, Michael had the work re-done correctly. We generally accepted Michael's recommendations on businesses to provide needed materials, such as fixtures, cabinets, granite countertops, and glass. In instances in which we did not find what we wanted with these businesses, Michael was quite happy to work with those we did chose. Because of our satisfaction with the overall quality of their work, we added on the replacement of a double patio sliding glass door. As with all other work done by Michael's crew, the work was first-rate - both the installation, and the finish work. This was the first home renovation we have ever done. When we next have similar work done, we'll almost certainly have Healy Construction do the work for us. Positives for Healy Construction are excellent responsiveness, a stated and true desire for the customer to be satisfied, a refreshing habit of taking responsibiity for his crew's and subcontractor's work, and exceptional quality of work. In addition, when we upgraded some items from the standard quoted in our contract, he did not increase the contractor's fee. The only negative is overall price. However, I am quick to add that we were well aware from the outset that Healy Construction would not be a "low bid," and we quite willingly paid above " low bid" for what we believe was excellent overall value

We couldn't have had a more positive experience with The Healey Company and felt like we were on Holmes on Holmes. Michael Healey and his team were reliable, diligent, personable and unwilling to cut corners. The quality of their work was exceptional and attention to detail astounding. There is a reason why they come so highly recommended on Angie's list and their references spoke so highly of them. Our renovation actually started in San Diego, in which Michael, David and Krista reviewed ideas and designs over FaceTime with us of our newly purchased home. We were just in awe of how accommodating they were in working with us in a different time zone. From there the catering continued and Michael meticulously reviews an updated project plan with itemized costs, timeline goals matched to payments, and scheduled vendor meetings weekly with you. He takes full ownership of your project and was available at all times via cellphone. You definitely get what you pay for here and you know you will only have to do your project once because he does it right the first time

The bathroom is in my 85 year old house. The four walls were tile laid in cement. Everything was crooked. After agreeing to a plan in which I had input, I was given an estimated start time for the job. It actually started earlier. Demolition required 3 days! There was not one moment wasted or one day on which no work was performed throughout the entire 3 weeks of construction. The sequencing of the trades was perfect. The workmanship was beautiful and was overseen by a company representative who took a personal interest in the quality of the work. A bathtub was removed and a glass shower with subway tile walls was installed. A new tile floor was installed as well as a custom built vanity. The bathroom is elegant to look at and wonderful to use. Although I may have been able to get a better price elsewhere, the hassle-free experience and the quality of the work made it worth any extra it may have cost

Installer and plumbers arrived on time. Installer was excellent, stayed late in the evening both days ( It took two days to finish the work due to a difficult installation) Installer was very professional, cleaned up when done and explained how to properly clean the surfaces of the shower walls and the shower doors

After signing the contract and making the initial payment, the project started slightly behind schedule. However, during this period we stayed in constant contact with our salesman discussing and finalizing product and other fine details of the project. A project foreman was assigned who did measurements, delivered materials, and scheduled work crews for the various phases of the project. He was knowledgeable and did a good job of communicating with us throughout the entire project. During the demolition phase of the project an unforeseen problem was encountered with an existing support beam. There was a known leak in our roof that was to be fixed as part of the project. However, the extensive damage to the existing beam was not expected and needed replaced adding additional cost and time to the project. We felt that the additional cost was fair and that the replacement beam was installed properly. The existing leak in the roof was fixed. However, some of the existing plywood (under the roofing tiles) and fascia showing signs of dampness and deterioration was left in place. We later agreed that the work to make these repairs would be completed in the spring. Another problem was encountered when the township inspector required additional support for the roof due to the cathedral ceiling. A ridge bean had to be installed which was not in the original plans adding more time to the project. The project foreman did a good job of working with us and the inspector to satisfy both parties. The finished ceiling with the ridge beam and ceiling fan look great. We love the wall system with all the glass. And, we are glad we added the electric radiant heat in the floor under the ceramic tile although this took longer than expected to install and added time to the project. The finished room is the perfect upgrade that we can use year round. The Betterliving crew was professional, punctual, and did quality work. They arrived on the job site when they said they would. This was important to us since we were coordinating our work schedules. We would use Betterliving again and recommend them to anyone for their sunroom project

I originally called Betterliving because I was interested in installing windows in my 3 season sunroom. When we bought the place the room originally had acrylic panels that could be slide into place. But wood frames had been expanding from the rain so several of the panels no longer fitted into the window frame and a couple of the frames had even popped out of place. Jason from Betterliving came to give us a quote for replacing them with glass windows that could be more easily slide up and down. Also I mentioned to him that a piece of the fascia of the sunroom had some problems because one of the hooks for our blinds was not able to hold it anymore. While discussing that Jason noticed that the house windows had been leaking water behind the siding. He showed me the issue and I was able to see that it was happening already to all of our windows. I asked him to also give me a quote for replacing all windows and fixing the boards underneath. The quote seemed fair so we decided to put a deposit for the project A week later Jami from Betterliving came to take measures. We discussed the timelines to get the windows made and for installation. The windows came in within the time expected but unfortunately earlier this year had been quite rainy so I was not surprised that there was going to be a longer delay between the time the windows were ready and when the project would start. They had to postpone a couple of times, but Jami called me ahead in with enough time for me to make arrangements on our side so it was not a problem. The first day of the project Ray (the owner) and Jim came to do the installation. They started by replacing the windows of the house. I was really happy to see how nice the windows were looking and how fast they went through even though they had to replace the boards below the windows due to the water leakages from the old windows. From there on most of the other days it was only Jim who came to continue with the work. I really like the job he did with the windows and the aluminum trims on the outside of the windows. Because they had to cut some of the boards I was thinking that it was going to get messy, but they left the areas they worked really tidy. Then they started with the sunroom. They removed the aluminum around the fascia that was damaged and it turned out to be much worst that originally thought. I could see how bad it was so understandingly they had to give me a new quote for replacing the whole fascia on that side. The whole project took longer than originally anticipated due to this, but at the end the sunroom is looking much nicer than before and I feel comfortable that is solid. I am glad that these problems were caught on time and repaired properly. I am happy to have worked with them and with the quality of their work

Wonderful. Installers were on time courteous and knowledgeable about their craft. They finished the installation and cleaned and removed any mess. I didn't have to dust or vacuum when they were done. They are an Aaa+++ in my book. I would recommend them to anyone needing windows or siding or anything else. They pay attention to details

I needed to replace some Traco windows that let the wind come howling through and no longer locked. I found Dunrite on Angie's List, called Dino and left a message. He called back the next day and was able to come and provide the free estimate the following day. He was punctual and personable and gave us great advice (including that we did not need to replace a skylight window we asked about, but just the glass). The price for Vinylmax double-hung windows was $375 each (discounted due to the home show). He advised that it would be 3-4 weeks to get the windows in. To my surprise he called after only 2 weeks and offered to come the next day and do the windows. The workmen came on time, replaced the windows and cleaned up after themselves. I came home from work to new windows with no sign anyone had been there - great! We could feel the difference in room temperature right away with the new windows. I wish all home improvement work went this smoothly and easily. I will definitely call Dunrite when I go ahead and replace some more windows

"I put my old Victorian house on the market this summer, and it sold in two days!. I must give credit to S.L. Contractors and wonderful job they did remodeling my house. I got their name from Angie’s List four years ago. My first project was the painting of all the exterior windows. I have three floors. They even repainted the rusty grills at my basement windows. That wasn’t a big job, because the jobs kept getting bigger. Then I had my old pantry converted into a powder room. My next project was the biggest one - removing all the knob and tube wiring and then replacing the plaster with drywall and finally adding can lighting. What I love the most is my new kitchen. The kitchen sold the house! It was exactly what I wanted. Mr. Washington, general contractor, over the years has been a source of information about quality construction. He was kind of a design consultant for the remodel job for the kitchen. When discussing the size of the island, he said “No one ever says the island is too big.” He worked with me and was flexible as I selected decorative touches from retail stores and online. My kitchen was a challenge. It had pine wood paneling and the layout didn’t work. Mr. Washington changed the appliance layout. I needed my hallway tiles to match my kitchen floor. Mr. Washington searched and found tiles in Texas that matched perfectly. I had a positive experience with S.L. Contractors.

"We are delighted with the outcome. Al came to see what we needed. After measuring, he made some suggestions and recommendations to better fit into the room; we then went to the showroom, picked what we wanted, and in less than six weeks the items were in and the one-day job was scheduled. Jeff, the plumber, was very polite, tidy in his work, and very professional in his demeanor. He ran into a problem when removing the toilet (it was very old and needed a new cast iron flange) which he called to our attention immediately and then corrected it with no complaining. The room has a whole new look and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the material and the service we received.
I do all the work myself, have over 30 years of experience, and have a full service woodshop for custom made things and repairs. When I need assistance, I have a network of other highly skilled professionals that work with me on my projects. No sub-contracting of my work. I can help design and lay out plans with an ergonomic flow and stylish design on any budget
"Matt was a pleasure to work and I am very glad I selected him for the project. He takes the time to really understand exactly what you are looking to accomplish, and offers up great ideas and solutions during the planning phase. The quality of the work is outstanding, Matt is an excellent craftsman and a perfectionist down to the smallest detail; Additionally, In the middle of the job I expanded the scope of the work and this was accommodated with no problem. While working he was very clean, friendly and punctual and completed the job at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Heidenreich Custom Carpentry & Renovation for any project, I’m sure I will be calling them again.

"Bob did an excellent job on both our master bathroom remodel and finishing our unfinished basement. This was the second major renovation Bob did for us and we won't hesitate to call him again for any future projects. Our new master bathroom shower is fantastic! He worked with the designer at ProSource in Cranberry to help us select the perfect tile. The demolition of our old fiberglass shower and walls was done quickly and as cleanly as we could have imagined. He worked through some construction issues quickly and kept us informed throughout the project. He's an honest, dependable, and skillful craftsman. He stayed within budget and persisted with our projects from start to finish without delays or interruptions. Bob gets our HIGHEST recommendation!

"Task: Repair or reattach the existing 10' upper Rain gutter downspout to a two story house.(Uppermost top location). This section needs to be mounted or securely fastened to brick in several spots. Chris Jackson's Contracting He was one of three that replied to my Angi list post on Sunday evening. The other two did not respond to my service call. His promptness of his reply was the next day with a follow up phone call. After brief discussion, he quoted a price and scheduled a Tuesday morning session. He arrived within the window of his time promise. Also, He was EPA certified and Insured. He provided quality workmanship with proper tools, ladder and materials to complete this task within a few hours. Additionally, he performed to clean out clogged elbow downspouts before all sections were to be connected as well. I was impressed with his response time and his courtesy and professional approach to this service call. I would recommend him.
