We couldn't have had a more positive experience with The Healey Company and felt like we were on Holmes on Holmes. Michael Healey and his team were reliable, diligent, personable and unwilling to cut corners. The quality of their work was exceptional and attention to detail astounding. There is a reason why they come so highly recommended on Angie's list and their references spoke so highly of them. Our renovation actually started in San Diego, in which Michael, David and Krista reviewed ideas and designs over FaceTime with us of our newly purchased home. We were just in awe of how accommodating they were in working with us in a different time zone. From there the catering continued and Michael meticulously reviews an updated project plan with itemized costs, timeline goals matched to payments, and scheduled vendor meetings weekly with you. He takes full ownership of your project and was available at all times via cellphone. You definitely get what you pay for here and you know you will only have to do your project once because he does it right the first time

We bought a beautiful 1920s home with a gutted Master Bathroom and no water pressure to fill a tub and flush the toilet. The Healey Company worked with us to design a luxurious bathroom befitting of our unique barnyard chic style. We love 3-form material and their carpenter build our Jacuzzi siding and cabinets using the material. We installed heated floors and marble countertops. However, before that we needed to install new plumbing to make our waterfall showerhead feel like the Amazon versus a cry baby. The Healey Company's painter and drywall specialist were meticulous and precise. Their handy man was helpful and frank with every detail. These guys may be a little more expensive than cousin Joe but they stick with a job until its pristine and thorough

Michael Healy (contractor) and David Morgan (architect) met with us several time and were quite patient as we worked through at least a half-a-dozen options with detailed drawings before we finally decided on a plan. They worked very well together, and clearly had done so many times before. Michael was very detailed in our planning, making every effort make certain that we understood out options and choices, and tried to leave nothing to chance. Micheal's crew took great pains in prep to cover all parts of our house which were exposed to work. Early on, it became clear that there was an error in the renderings that made it necessary for us to make changes in our plans. Michael accepted full responsibility for the error and met us at least half-way on the additional expenses required to make the necessary changes. Most of the workermen were Michael's employees. The lead carpenter and plaster/drywall man were exceptional. In my view, the lead carpenter is a cabinet maker, working as a carpenter. The electrician, plumber, and tile man were subcontractors. The electrician and plumber did fine work, although they were not as easily available Michael's employed workers. The tile man came highly recommended, but we had some complaints about some of his work (although it's possible that one of his helpers did some of the work). The tile detail accents were not level, but with a simple request from us, Michael had the work re-done correctly. We generally accepted Michael's recommendations on businesses to provide needed materials, such as fixtures, cabinets, granite countertops, and glass. In instances in which we did not find what we wanted with these businesses, Michael was quite happy to work with those we did chose. Because of our satisfaction with the overall quality of their work, we added on the replacement of a double patio sliding glass door. As with all other work done by Michael's crew, the work was first-rate - both the installation, and the finish work. This was the first home renovation we have ever done. When we next have similar work done, we'll almost certainly have Healy Construction do the work for us. Positives for Healy Construction are excellent responsiveness, a stated and true desire for the customer to be satisfied, a refreshing habit of taking responsibiity for his crew's and subcontractor's work, and exceptional quality of work. In addition, when we upgraded some items from the standard quoted in our contract, he did not increase the contractor's fee. The only negative is overall price. However, I am quick to add that we were well aware from the outset that Healy Construction would not be a "low bid," and we quite willingly paid above " low bid" for what we believe was excellent overall value

The bathroom is in my 85 year old house. The four walls were tile laid in cement. Everything was crooked. After agreeing to a plan in which I had input, I was given an estimated start time for the job. It actually started earlier. Demolition required 3 days! There was not one moment wasted or one day on which no work was performed throughout the entire 3 weeks of construction. The sequencing of the trades was perfect. The workmanship was beautiful and was overseen by a company representative who took a personal interest in the quality of the work. A bathtub was removed and a glass shower with subway tile walls was installed. A new tile floor was installed as well as a custom built vanity. The bathroom is elegant to look at and wonderful to use. Although I may have been able to get a better price elsewhere, the hassle-free experience and the quality of the work made it worth any extra it may have cost

Installer and plumbers arrived on time. Installer was excellent, stayed late in the evening both days ( It took two days to finish the work due to a difficult installation) Installer was very professional, cleaned up when done and explained how to properly clean the surfaces of the shower walls and the shower doors

I originally called Betterliving because I was interested in installing windows in my 3 season sunroom. When we bought the place the room originally had acrylic panels that could be slide into place. But wood frames had been expanding from the rain so several of the panels no longer fitted into the window frame and a couple of the frames had even popped out of place. Jason from Betterliving came to give us a quote for replacing them with glass windows that could be more easily slide up and down. Also I mentioned to him that a piece of the fascia of the sunroom had some problems because one of the hooks for our blinds was not able to hold it anymore. While discussing that Jason noticed that the house windows had been leaking water behind the siding. He showed me the issue and I was able to see that it was happening already to all of our windows. I asked him to also give me a quote for replacing all windows and fixing the boards underneath. The quote seemed fair so we decided to put a deposit for the project A week later Jami from Betterliving came to take measures. We discussed the timelines to get the windows made and for installation. The windows came in within the time expected but unfortunately earlier this year had been quite rainy so I was not surprised that there was going to be a longer delay between the time the windows were ready and when the project would start. They had to postpone a couple of times, but Jami called me ahead in with enough time for me to make arrangements on our side so it was not a problem. The first day of the project Ray (the owner) and Jim came to do the installation. They started by replacing the windows of the house. I was really happy to see how nice the windows were looking and how fast they went through even though they had to replace the boards below the windows due to the water leakages from the old windows. From there on most of the other days it was only Jim who came to continue with the work. I really like the job he did with the windows and the aluminum trims on the outside of the windows. Because they had to cut some of the boards I was thinking that it was going to get messy, but they left the areas they worked really tidy. Then they started with the sunroom. They removed the aluminum around the fascia that was damaged and it turned out to be much worst that originally thought. I could see how bad it was so understandingly they had to give me a new quote for replacing the whole fascia on that side. The whole project took longer than originally anticipated due to this, but at the end the sunroom is looking much nicer than before and I feel comfortable that is solid. I am glad that these problems were caught on time and repaired properly. I am happy to have worked with them and with the quality of their work

After signing the contract and making the initial payment, the project started slightly behind schedule. However, during this period we stayed in constant contact with our salesman discussing and finalizing product and other fine details of the project. A project foreman was assigned who did measurements, delivered materials, and scheduled work crews for the various phases of the project. He was knowledgeable and did a good job of communicating with us throughout the entire project. During the demolition phase of the project an unforeseen problem was encountered with an existing support beam. There was a known leak in our roof that was to be fixed as part of the project. However, the extensive damage to the existing beam was not expected and needed replaced adding additional cost and time to the project. We felt that the additional cost was fair and that the replacement beam was installed properly. The existing leak in the roof was fixed. However, some of the existing plywood (under the roofing tiles) and fascia showing signs of dampness and deterioration was left in place. We later agreed that the work to make these repairs would be completed in the spring. Another problem was encountered when the township inspector required additional support for the roof due to the cathedral ceiling. A ridge bean had to be installed which was not in the original plans adding more time to the project. The project foreman did a good job of working with us and the inspector to satisfy both parties. The finished ceiling with the ridge beam and ceiling fan look great. We love the wall system with all the glass. And, we are glad we added the electric radiant heat in the floor under the ceramic tile although this took longer than expected to install and added time to the project. The finished room is the perfect upgrade that we can use year round. The Betterliving crew was professional, punctual, and did quality work. They arrived on the job site when they said they would. This was important to us since we were coordinating our work schedules. We would use Betterliving again and recommend them to anyone for their sunroom project

"MAJOR repairs needed to be made to the entire right side of my car, which was damaged in an accident. I was told it would take about 7 business days, but after disassembling the car, they found more extensive damage. On that 7th day, I received an email informing me of the extra damage, and saying that it would take longer to repair. No estimate of time for the extended job was given. I got my car back 3 weeks later (18 business days). Considering the damage, I was not surprised at the time it took. Plus, I think they were very busy at that time. However, communication regarding the return of my vehicle could have been a little better. I was the one initiating contact. The finish date kept getting pushed back, but George in the shop was great about promptly returning my e-mails. The quality of the work, though, was worth the wait. I cannot tell where the damage was, and the paint job is phenomenal. (I'm a very particular person, too.) George had indicated that quality of work was their highest priority. After driving my car for a week or so, I noticed two very minor items that needed to be adjusted. Kollinger did not hesitate to check them out and fix them quickly. (They were simple tweaks.) Kollinger helped arrange a rental car for me while they had my car, so dropping off and picking up was a breeze. The people there are not warm and fuzzy, but they are polite, professional and helpful. I would absolutely recommend them and go back if I need auto body work. I can't imagine getting better service and quality job than I got here.

"This was professionally handled from beginning to end. A highly experienced employee was sent out to estimate the job. He personally examined each window and explained what would be required and the cost. The windows exceeded the size in the package I had purchased, but the upcharge was modest and reasonable. The work was performed over a two-day period as scheduled. I couldn't be more pleased with the final results and my neighbor plans on having her windows done by the same company after seeing my completed results.
I do all the work myself, have over 30 years of experience, and have a full service woodshop for custom made things and repairs. When I need assistance, I have a network of other highly skilled professionals that work with me on my projects. No sub-contracting of my work. I can help design and lay out plans with an ergonomic flow and stylish design on any budget
"Matt completed a completed bathroom remodel for our main bathroom. Included tearing out all old materials, installing a new tub, tile on the walls and floor, and new vanity, sink top, toilet, lights, the works. We are very pleased with the work. Matt takes his time to do a quality job. There was a lot of tile work, and it looks great. Matt installed built in shelves for the shower with an arched top, and it looks very nice. He is a skilled craftsman. Matt is also a very honest person. We had to leave town for a period while the job was underway and we did not hesitate to give him access to our house while we were gone. That is very important to us.
We are a glass repair company. We repair single, double and triple pane windows, We repair broken glass in sliding glass and french doors. We also make table tops and install frameless shower enclosures.
"I gave them some measurements over the phone and told them what happened, single pane window. I got an estimate right over the phone. I told them the location. The location was a little tricky location. It was not an easy install. They came out, put the new window in, cleaned up, made sure everything was right before they left, and did not charge me anything extra for the tricky installation. I wanted to tell them that before they got here just to make sure they knew that. They were fine with it and did not try to say that it was over a stairwell and would cost an additional $50. When I called the first time, someone picked-up the phone and they wanted to work around my schedule. The thing about is that Greensburg, Pennsylvania to where I live is not a five minute drive. It is like a 45-minute drive and for a single pane window. It is not like I am asking them to put in a whole new window in my house where it is going to be a $10,000 project. This was a $75 to $80 project. The gentleman probably used more in gas and poles than what he got out of this project, but still it was like sure and no problem. They asked me my available time the next week because it was Friday afternoon. They asked if it was an emergency and if it was a front window or living room window. I told them it was a garage window and they said no problem. We scheduled the following week and they did the job. This was just last week and I am still scratching my head because I do not see how they made money out of this. Single pane window, it is not a big ticket item where it is worth the wear and tear on the vehicle, the gas, and the poles to get here. I was really happy with them and I would use them again.

"The quote was $25,000. We live in quite an old house and the gentleman that came out to quote it was very familiar with the bones of the house and how it was put together and what would need to be done to bring it up to date. We decided to wait until we have more money to put into the project but we would probably call them back.

"Our 20 year old home has two skylights that were installed when the home was built. My wife and I had been researching having the skylights replaced with new ones that would open to allow airflow in the second floor. I found SunUp Construction, Inc. and decided to drive to their office in Wexford for more information. When I arrived I met with Craig (the owner) who took the time to explain what was involved in the replacements. After deciding to have Craig and his team (Paul/Adam/Laurie) replace the old skylights, Covid-19 came on the scene and we had to wait until June for the new skylights. The wait was definitely worth it. Craig and his crew got to our home on time, went right to work and within four hours we had two new skylights that open with solar power and have sun blocking shades. The end product was exactly what we wanted. We have been keeping the skylights open at night allowing cool air to enter the house. What a difference. Craig and his crew are professional and great to work with. I would heartily recommend them
