We were impressed with Plumbline from the start. Before bidding on the project, Roger brought in a plumber and an electrician to make sure that our plans for our 1921 house were possible and affordable. He and his team offered great advice as we worked out design and construction details. They respected our opinions and ideas, but weren't afraid to offer alternatives based on their deep knowledge and decades of experience. We did a complete remodel--down to the studs. Plumbline did the demo then put everything back together. Roger did an impressive job of managing the project, even as COVID-related supply-chain issues presented daily challenges. Plumbline changed the size of both windows, including adding a bay in one opening. They installed new doors and molding throughout. They coordinated installation of new cabinets, counters, floor, and appliances. They built two new closets. They rewired and installed new lighting. While they were at it, they also did a minor bathroom remodel, including installing new tile, sink, and other fixtures. They kept the dust and mess to a minimum, and made sure that the rest of our house remained livable. It truly felt like each and every member of the team was treating our home as they would their own. The best thing about Plumbline? Roger is an absolutely great guy. He responded to our many calls and texts quickly, he kept us updated on schedule changes and delays, and he was never, ever too busy to sit and review plans with us and answer our questions. He's smart, insightful, and a true professional. We plan to hire him for future projects, and we won't hesitate to recommend him to our family and friends

Rick came out and did my measurements and sent the proposal very quickly. We were working around our Contractors dates to have this installed and we know that is a moving TARGET with delays. Rick worked with us on the Moving Target and the installer was amazing . He was so detailed and exact. The install is quick and the results are amazing. Highly Recommend Rick and his crew

Chris and team did a great job creating our unfinished basement into a downstairs oasis. The team worked with a quality and quickness that could not be matched! We added a bathroom, family room and bedroom, all of which have been a great addition to our home. They also worked well within our budget and allowed for us to do the flooring and painting ourselves. We highly recommend working with Northrup on your next home project

We worked with Ron Burgess from Northrup Remodeling to do an extensive remodeling project in our old St. Paul home. The work included adding a new powder room on the main floor, gutting and rebuilding another bathroom, opening up a wall. Lots of wall-moving, electrical, tiling, plumbing, drywall. This was as painless as a major remodel can be. And we are so happy with the results! Leading up to the project we were impressed with how Ron listened to us and helped us think through plans. In preparation for the project Ron mapped it out and helped us understand what to expect. Ron's project plan was accurate, and the work was finished within the projected time period of 3 months. Each subcontractor brought in by Northrup was equally great to work with and they all did excellent work. They were willing to work with me on all of my design choices and helped me navigate challenges that come with remodeling old houses

In August of 2017, I hired Northrup Remodeling to complete an extensive remodeling project (attached garage, master bathroom, bedroom conversion into a walk-in closet and 2nd floor laundry room, new driveway, backyard brick patio, siding for the entire house, exterior window painting and, repairs on a number of “deferred-maintenance” items within the house). Ron Burgess was the project manager. Northrup Remodeling did an outstanding job. More specifically, Ron Burgess and all of the subcontractors that he assigned to the project were professional, courteous, dedicated and delivered a product that exceeded my expectations in a number of instances. Ron worked tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate all of the work, was incredibly responsive to all my questions and, provided me with invaluable advice and insight. In a number of instances, Ron’s insight and advice spared me from wasting money on unnecessary work and yielded aesthetic outcomes that were better than I could have imagined. / / / / / / / / / DETAIL / / / / / / In August of 2017, I hired Northrup Remodeling to complete the following: • Tear down a detached two car garage and rebuild an attached two car garage in its place; • Tie the new garage into a pre-existing mudroom (entailed a small expansion of the existing mudroom); • Full demolition and rebuild of the master bathroom; • Conversion of a bedroom into a walk-in closet for the master bedroom and a second floor laundry room; • One window replacement; • Installation of new siding on the entire house; • Exterior painting of all windows, chimneys and brick facade; • Replacement of brick driveway with a concrete driveway; • Removal and reinstallation of brick patio in the back of the house; • Demolition and replacement of front brick walkway; • Repair of deferred-maintenance items (railing and balusters, screen door, foyer tile and grout lines, door handles, interior doors, kitchen sink, cabinet drawers, etc.) Interior construction concluded by January 2018. Following a break for winter, the remaining exterior work was completed by July 2018. Ron Burgess was the Northrup supervisor for the entire project. My experience with Northrup was fantastic and working with Ron was a joy. Ron brought to bear the skills and abilities of subcontractors that provided a high level of quality work and professionalism. At the outset of the project, Ron set out a timetable for the start and expected completion dates for each part of the project. Ron started the project on time and kept everything moving along so that the project finished within expectations. Moreover, any time I had a question, Ron was readily available and promptly addressed any issues to my full satisfaction. Ron also brought to bear the expertise of Kathleen Winter (interior designer) and Richard Groh (architect). Ron, Kathleen and Richard worked extraordinarily well together during the project. In every instance, they were able to suggest great ideas, integrate the goals/desires I had for the finished product and, most important, they dissuaded me from making certain design/material choices that I now realize would have been a huge mistake. Throughout the entire project, I was very impressed with the subcontractors Ron selected for the work. In every one of my interactions with the subcontractors, I found them to be professional, courteous, excited about their work and committed to delivering an outcome that in many instances surpassed my expectations. When each subcontractor started their part of the project, they stayed on the project until it was completed – in a number of instances, working far later in the day than I would have reasonably expected or, working on the weekends

We worked with Ron Burgess from Northrup as our project manager from start to finish and our project was very well run. We originally solicited bids from multiple contractors and Ron quickly differentiated himself. He was knowledgeable, prompt and accurate with his estimate, and most importantly honest with us about the work we wanted to have done. He helped us to understand the house better and he suggested some smart revisions to our plans that helped us constrain the costs of the project. He kicked off the project when he said he would, kept it on schedule throughout, and he never surprised us with hidden costs. During the project we made several revisions to our plans, and he made the change request process really easy and always gave us fair and transparent pricing. The quality of the work was great, and we're extremely happy with how everything turned out. We'd absolutely hire Northrup again

Poorly. I'd encourage others to consider going with other reno providers. Working with K2 is/was incredibly disappointing because they "overpromise yet under-deliver." Hired K2 for a full kitchen gut and 1/2 story reno -- August-Dec. 2020, but I'm still dealing with unresolved issues/fixes and it's Dec. 2021. My excitement for the project quickly faded as it became clear that no one from K2 would come onsite to coordinate the subcontractors nor ensure that the work performed was acceptable. Project management was terrible, schedules mean very little, and the quality of the work is painfully inconsistent. So much "rework" that I got to the point of "Fine. I give up. It's good enough." Poor value for the work performed

We had a great experience with On Time Contractors INC. Aleh coordinated an experienced and professional team. A detailed itemized project quote was provided. The communication and updates throughout the project were appreciated. We were able to choose our own products and finishes including custom trim. Aleh and his team were very thorough and worked within our budget. The project was completed over an extended timeline due to COVID-19, but was finished on time. We hired electrical and plumbing to complete additional projects around our home including installing recessed lights and a gas line to our kitchen. Clean up was performed up each day. We were provided helpful suggestions during each step of our basement project. We highly recommend them and would not hesitate to hire them again. Laura and Shane T November 202

"Rick came over and looked at our closet system. Everyone else, who gave us a bid, wanted to remove the system and rebuild it. Rick suggested adding some shelving and modifying it a bit and changing the hardware. We appreciated his expertise and cost savings. Corbin, Rick’s installer, was very professional. Our old system was not level and was pulling out from the wall. Corbin leveled the system and reattached the unit to the wall. He was very neat, professional and safety conscience. We couldn’t be happier with the way the project turned out.

"We have used Working-For-You for several projects over the past 4 years and have always been very satisfied with their work. The projects ranged from total master bath floor tile and shower redesign; installed kitchen backsplash; removal of an old gas fire place and partial wall; and new deck stairs for upper level deck. Rob and Scott are very detailed oriented, courteous, punctual and fair on their prices. We highly recommend them!

I love tile, I have tools...a lot of tools. Let me put them to work for you. I finish that ever present "to do" list. Let me handle that home repair or replacement fast and efficiently. Some people think I perform magic, actually, I just make your list of problems "disappear." I have 25 plus years experience in home renovation and remodeling. There is is not much that I have not seen and solved. Did I mention that I love tile? ..
"Started with effort to locate source of a small water leak in a small bathroom and shower next to our master bedroom that left water stains on the ceiling of finished space below. We contacted Scott Duneman to help determine the source and do necessary repairs. At a minimum we knew we must remove the old tile in the shower to determine if it was tile or a plumbing defect that needed to be addressed. We were impressed with his analysis of the issues and range of options he presented to just do the minimum amount of work or incorporate into a complete renovation of the entire bathroom. Based on our review of his previous similar work and recommendations of past customers, we asked for a detailed cost estimate for various phases of the project to include new wall and floor tile and glass shower doors and vanity, mirror and toilet. The proposal he developed was very thorough and appeared realistically priced so we decided on the complete renovation. He was very skilled and well organized and efficient in carrying out all facets of the project, offering suggestions and seeking our input of design and other considerations and creatively solving problems we threw at him with our choice of tile and fixtures, and finished the project on time and within the budget we agreed on. Based on our experience, Scott exceeds the definition of "Handyman", proving to be a skilled craftsman in many facets of his work, especially his expertise with tile. We couldn't be more pleased with his work, professionalism and good communication and hope to use him again!
Simply Beautiful Remodeling, LLC exists to serve our customers with artistic and original design, excellent service and quality craftsmanship.
"This is our second large project with Simply Beautiful and again, we are thrilled. It began as a window replacement, then decided to add a new glass shower enclosure, then discovered water damage behind the tile - so re-tiled the entire shower and bath area. Every step of the way was great. It was not their fault we had more damage than anticipated. But this gave us an opportunity to re-tile the shower and bath and do decorative things. Wade is an artist, and worked with us to design JUST the right thing to fit our style using the handmade white Italian Subway tile and glass and slate tile accents we wanted. Wade is considerate, hard working, careful, detail oriented, and just plain great at what he does. We are extremely pleased with our new bathroom. Now, he is started a remodel at my in laws to accomodate one level handicapped living for them. Even just doing the pre-work for that project, Wade demonstrates his attention to detail, empathy, thoughtfulness, etc.

"Michelle and Susan were excellent. They took my residential job seriously, and invested the time to present ideas for my living room design. They showed me a color board with suggested products; they did the shopping and I just had to choose. They kept in regular contact and kept me updated about my furniture order. My expectations were a bit of a challenge because I did not want to paint or replace the drapes; despite that, they presented options that worked with The colors I already had. I am very satisfied with the experience and the outcome.

"Justin arrived on time. We had previously talked about installing a new fan and at that time I asked if he could put up some shades after he was done with the fan. He had to cut a slightly larger opening for the fan but got it installed in a timely fashion and then installed the two shades. As usual the bathroom was spotless when he finished cleaning up. We are always happy with the work done by Justin and his team. When we get the rest of the window treatments Justin will be back.
