Five Star Painting of MadisonWe've used 5-Star Painting twice now, and been happy both times. When we moved into our house 3 years ago, we had 3 bedrooms and the hallways repainted, top to bottom (floors, trim, walls). The crew were capable, professional and respectful. We were so happy we hired 5-Star again when it was time to repaint our bathroom this year, as part of a bathroom reno. They repainted the ceiling and walls, and did minor drywall repair. They matched the sand texture for the repairs, and did a great job. At the same time, we hired them to paint a bedroom ceiling. Some of the paint looked like it had bubbled. When the painter started to scrape off the bubbling, he found black mold and let me know immediately. We called ServiceMaster, who came quickly, and determined that the ceiling was not wet, there was no leaking from the roof (replaced 3 years ago), and said the mold was likely from the previous old roof. ServiceMaster said it could be scraped off, sealed and repainted, which 5-Star Painting did. Throughout the process they were calm, professional and displayed their expertise. The painting crew foreman had told me what he thought was the issue- and ServiceMaster confirmed it with their specialty instruments and inspection an hour later! We were very pleased.- Angela B.

Michael's PaintingIf you’re looking for painting you don’t hesitate when it come to Micheals painting. Response is quick and they do top knot hair efficient work. I had them paint all my trim doors and kitchen cabinets all white from a honey oak. I also had a tallhallway and ceiling done. I’m very particular and was anxious about having the cabinets done. Im an avid researcher of products and reader of reviews. These guys were recommended by a friend. I’m so happy with the job. It looks fantastic. Our project went above and beyond our expectations and we are so happy with the outcome. Our project was a large one-including knocking down walls, re-configuring the master bath and laundry room, and installation of a CUSTOM tiled walk in shower. I worked closely with Patrick in picking out every single item, which also allowed me to learn some tricks and skills along the way too. Washa Construction IncWasha Remodeling saved us from the fiasco created by the first company we hired to put a bathroom in the basement bedroom and redo the bedroom itself. The previous company had started a year and a half earlier by putting up framing with a bathroom floor plan that did not meet city codes. They never finished and we had to go to small claims to get our money back. Adam from Washa gave us a quote that was higher than the one we had, but, obviously, it was necessary to do the job correctly. Steve Wineland, the site manager, is tops in the trade. We have had a lot of construction work at our home and our business and Steve is the best. The subcontractors were also outstanding. The flooring was delayed in arriving due to covid, but that was the only problem. The room and bathroom look amazing. We are going to start our next project very soon of remodeling our existing bathroom configuration on the first floor. I would recommend Washa for any project even if their price is somewhat higher because they are professionals, and, you get what you pay for.- Marsha F.

Jose Lopez may be a good painter but we did not have the opportunity to have him paint. He came to look at our house and we agreed on a date and time. He did not show when he said he would come. I called and he told me he would come the following week. Again he did not show up. I texted him and then called him twice the morning of and he did not answer. Twice we moved all our furniture, removed outlet covers and rearranged schedules. He is unreliable. I would NOT recommend.

Fabio and his team are pros. Responded quickly, communicated thoroughly. He did an excellent analysis of the leaking problem, which was not readily apparent in a roof like mine. Clearly he was concerned about doing quality work and about the cost. He showed me pictures of around my chimney where the flashing had deteriorated over the years, and more pictures of completion after the repair was made. I have a very steep roof, so I don't go up there as I am not a goat. He discussed the situation with me and we agreed on a plan of action. He did a very thorough repair. The next time it rained, I still had a leak. He came out again and did further analysis. He examined the existing shingles and found water underneath them. He was able to determine where the leak started (and he showed me the evidence and explained it) and his skilled team replaced the shingles and ice and water underlayment and some replacement of the wood roof decking which had been damaged by water. So I had two leaks, they repaired them both professionally on time and budget, two flat-rate fees, which I like very much, not time and materials, and no overages. I recommend them highly.
