  Crawl Masters provided a quality blown in fiberglass attic insulation, raising it over the 39 R value. I recently purchased the 30 year old 2000 sf ranch home, and it had minimal attic insulation, barely covering any of the ceiling joists. Owner Dave was honest, punctual and professional. Dave was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. Dave provided photos afterward of the installation. The price was reasonable. I was planning on doing it myself but left it in Crawl Masters hands. I am glad I did and would definitely recommend them to family and friends.   I would not use this company as they do not stand behind their work/service. This company was paid to insulate an addition-walls, attic, and crawl space of the new structure. During the cold temperatures earlier this month, condensation occurred in several spots on my ceiling of the addition only. This issue did not occur in the main part of the house that was insulated by a different company. Further inspection revealed that the company did not adequately insulate the attic and only used 1/2 the thickness of insulation required to keep the space properly insulated. There were even places where there was no insulation at all. The crawl space also did not get proper insulation as a pipe stopped working during the cold temperatures. Pipes were not insulated and this company refused to insulate the pipe or the crawl space to prevent this from happening again. The company gave me over 1 hour of resistance and mixed information to do everything to avoid fixing my job. They did not care about making the job right or giving me what I had already paid for. This is not an ethical business, the company does not operate honestly and their actions indicate that they only care about getting your money and not making sure your job is done correctly. It should be noted that the roof is brand new and cleared of any leaks prior to contacting Skidmore when it was determined that the water was caused by improper insulation. I was told that the tubing used to blow insulation into the attic would scratch my floors and they did not protect floors or have covers. Then after over an hour of the company owner and his workers hassling me to try to avoid correcting the problems, they turn on the machine to blow insulation into my attic for 1 minute max, not enough time to fix the problem. They refused to fix any issues in the crawl space that they were paid already to properly insulate.   Couldn't have gone better. I started off with Brandon coming over to survey my attic. He reviewed with me area's of opportunity to address both a shortage of insulation, but also sealing of various junction boxes and other areas. He was very professional and not sales pushy. We scheduled the job and the 2 workers who showed up were also very professional. They laid down protective tarp on the floor in the house while they accessed my attic and crawl spaces.   KY Energy Pro saved our home ecosystem. I highly recommend them. The owner, Brandon Glover, is a licensed energy analyst and comes recommended by LG&E, so he understands how to address the entire ecosystem of the house. He also has the crew to do more than switch our an air conditioning/furnace unit. Visit his website. KY Energy Pro is adding to its offering of cutting edge services all of the time. Our problems began after we purchased a brand new air conditioner and furnace from a different contractor. Fast forward 18 months later, and the air conditioner quits working in July. The contractor that installed said that there was nothing that could be done since it was a year past the sale, and sent in a tech that couldn't identify anything that was wrong with it, although the unit couldn't cool the house down below 90 degrees. When the salesman called to sell me a new furnace, I was experiencing severe buyer's regret. On a whim, I scheduled an energy analysis with LG&E to get a perspective from someone with no dog in the race money-wise, and found out that our home was as inefficient as an old, Victorian house you would find in old Louisville. I needed new ductwork, insulation, and my furnace/air conditioner fixed. Needing a contractor that could address all of my home ecosystem issues, Brandon Glover at KY Energy Pro was recommended to me--and his team was awesome! Brandon identified a couple of serious problems left by the installers of the original air unit: the furnace was not on a dedicated circuit breaker, and the furnace installed was meant for twice more square footage than our home had. It was discovered that this was meant to compensate for the collapsing ductwork embedded in our concrete slab--a problem that the original contractor did not want and could not deal with. Long story short, KY Energy Pro swapped out our furnace for a more efficient one (free of charge with warranties attached) so that they could install ductwork in the attic with air flowing in the right direction (up instead of down into the slab). We also had them insulate the roof deck as the LG&E energy analyst recommended to ensure the new ductwork was optimally enveloped. In the middle of getting all of this work done, we ran into other problems (electric, gas, and water) which Brandon does not handle, but I cannot emphasize enough how flexible KY Energy Pro is about working around other contractors. Where other contractors might rush to get their piece of a renovation done, Brandon and his team waited patiently for necessary repairs to be performed in order to safely solve for our air system problems. Since the KY Energy Pro work was done, our home is more comfortable and our bills have never been lower.   Shawn came to assess the nature of the work which included cutting into the ceiling to gain access to the duct work, replacing a section of pipe, and insulating around the duct work. He said he would try to save us some money if he could. Two men came today and did a nice job, giving care to being neat and clean. The job was completed, and we were charged $300 for the work, $150 less than estimated. In addition to the good work, I appreciate the integrity and the effort to charge us only what was necessary.   If you are looking to add insulation to your attic, I highly recommend Attic Experts. They are a local family owned small business with excellent customer support, fair prices, and they do quality work. I only had 2-3 inches of insulation in my attic and they added 22 inches plus sealed all areas around my can lights and added baffles along the entire home to protect the soffit vents. Shawn and Ryan are great guys. They showed up to give me an estimate within two days and did the job two days later. They also added a smart programmable thermostat for me that can be accessed via your phone or by normal standard means. All in all, an awesome job. They also have a $200 off coupon in their listing on Angie’s List. With their coupon, they are priced as well or better than the other two estimates I got.
