"Anthony (Sales) was very patient and understanding. Kyle (Estimator) was very friendly. He was attentive and gave no impressions of trying to rush the process. Unfortunately, my home repair budget was hit with some unexpected expenses and therefore needed to mothball my bathroom project to a later date."

"I could not be happier with our bathroom remodel! The team was professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. They transformed our outdated bathroom into a modern, spa-like retreat that exceeded all our expectations. From the sleek tile work to the custom vanity and flawless plumbing, every detail was executed with care and precision. They also kept the space clean throughout the project and finished on time and within budget. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to update their home-you wont be disappointed!"

"Bill Maibach knows what he’s doing. We have a small, older (1940) Clintonville house and he was up to every challenge it presented – from plumbing to electrical to window and tile. Bill and his colleague, Dave, took our broken, tiny space and turned it into something clean, modern and functional. Not a day goes by without our family delighting in this new space – it’s just so pretty! Bill is a fountain of knowledge – he made helpful suggestions and every time we talked about the remodel, I learned something new. Ours was a relatively small job for his company, but he was so patient and took time to explain everything to me as this was my first ever remodel. He has seen it all - and even when faced with a rotting subfloor, crumbling wiring and ancient plumbing, he repaired, replaced and upgraded. We are a one-bathroom household, and Bill’s scheduling made sure that we were never without a toilet or water. Remodeling is a messy job, but the rest of our house stayed clean even through demolition work. I’m so pleased with Custom Home Works that I’ve asked them to remodel our kitchen in the spring."

"I had three estimates to do two bathrooms replacing old tubs and showers. EZBath completed the job in less than three days at 1/3 of the other three estimates. The installation mechanic was reliable, personable, and the nicest guy you'll ever meet. I highly recommend this company for your everyday walk in shower, or new tub."

"We used them to update our bathroom. They had a good selection of options and products and I was able to do a lot of customizing, without driving up the price which was great. The contractor that actually did the bathroom remodel work was so excellent - he made sure I was involved in the last minute design changes and that everything would work for our family. My only complaint is I wish they would do the complete project, including touching up paint and flooring. However, the shower and bath we got are absolutely amazing and I absolutely love our new bathroom!"

"Patio Room Factory replaced a 30 year old Florida room for me. It was great experience from start to finish. They worked with me to insure that I was getting exactly what I wanted. They were patient, responsive and helpful as I had a lot of questions. Demo of the old room and the rebuild couldn’t have gone more smoothly. The workmanship and materials are top notch. Highly recommend!"

"In 2024 I had the Master Bathroom totally remodeled. In May 2025 my main bathroom was totally remodeled. I am so pleased with the work. I feel that Rob and Brian ensure the personal touch that meets your expectations. Their work is meticulously and well done. They are unbothered by questions because they want to make sure that you are happy with the final product. Thank you both."

"It went really well! Mose is a very friendly guy and extremely professional. I chose a furniture style vanity and he was able to seamlessly blend the baseboard around the legs. Our walls aren’t the straightest and there were some tough cuts but the finished project is even better than expected. I hope to have him back out in the future for other rooms and I would definitely recommend him to others!"

The cost of home remodeling is $50,000 for the average homeowner. However, this cost can range anywhere from $3,000 for a small project to $170,000 for a whole home remodel. Factors like project size, location, and room type all affect your overall cost. For example, bedroom remodeling costs are one of the least expensive projects, costing about $1,500 to $5,500 per bedroom. However, a kitchen remodel has a significant cost range, totaling anywhere from $14,500 to over $70,000.
Yes, most states require home remodeling contractors to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed home remodeling contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The best time of year to remodel your home is late winter and early spring when fewer homeowners are thinking about projects and pros are more available. Also consider the type of remodel you want and plan ahead as much as possible. For example, the summer is a great time of year to update your fireplace, but winter is a better option for fixing foundations and building room additions.
There are a few things you can do to prepare for a home remodeling project to ensure a smooth construction process. Creating a detailed budget can help you stay on track, especially with the excitement of new construction or upgrades. It’s also beneficial to map out a remodeling timeline with your contractor to have clear expectations. In addition, you’ll want to prepare the space that will be worked on ahead of time—this could be tarping furniture or entirely removing belongings from the room.
Home renovation insurance, sometimes called “dwelling under renovation coverage” or “builder’s risk insurance,” helps financially cover any damages that occur during the home renovation process. While different from typical homeowners insurance, many homeowners insurance policies already include some sort of home renovation insurance or offer it as an additional add-on. While this insurance isn’t necessary for every home remodeling project, it’s best to contact your insurance company to verify if it’s needed and what your coverage options are.
