First the company called in a claim on my behalf to my insurance company. The most important part of the process was letting them know when my adjuster's appointment was going to be. When I found out I let them know and they had someone present at my home representing me when the insurance adjuster came out. A couple days later I was notified by my insurance company that they were going to pay to have the ENTIRE roof replaced. This saved me approximately $14,000.00. Once we picked out the color of shingles we wanted it was no time before our roof was being replaced. The crew showed up on time and was very polite, asked questions and notified us of what they would be doing that day. When the roof was complete they were very thorough in their clean up of my property. Would recommend this company to anyone who needed a roof replaced. They really care about their customers. Mr. Hudgens arrived promptly to look at the work needed and give me a quote including a detailed description of the work he thought was needed, the materials that he would use and references. When I called him back in October he honored the orginal quote and secheduled the work to start the following Monday. He arrived when he said that he would despite the fact that it was raining and he would not be able to work on the roof that day. He completed the work on the timeframe that he gave me, explained what he was doing each morning, supervised his scheduled workers and they cleaned up all of the areas where they worked

- Skywalker RoofingI have built two large homes and renovated several. My father was a builder and during the summer months when I was out of college I worked for him. I have had much experience with the building industry and have, for the most part, been satisfied but not until I used Skywalker that I really knew what customer service meant. I had received a bid to replace my roof from one of Winston-Salem's "best roofers", actually one I had used 20 years ago when I built a new house. I joined Angie's list just to see what other companies I might want to consider. Only 4 hours after joining, Luke Wilson of Skywalker Roofing was at my home. He had already gotten a satellite view of my roof and knew exactly how much material it would take. He got on the roof and made a video and explained everything that needed to be done to make this "the last roof I will ever need". After less than an hour with Luke, I knew he was the man for this job. We refined the contract in writing and his very pleasant office staff emailed me several times until I was completely happy with the wording. They gave me the addresses of two houses that had the color roof we had chosen. Due to rain there was a one week delay on getting started but I was called and was told exactly when they anticipated they could start. They arrived this Monday at 6:45 am and 15 minutes later they were doing the tear off. They worked for 11 straight hours and took only one 30 minute break for lunch. At the end of the day they cleaned up every piece of trash and I couldn't even tell they had been there. This was repeated the following day after putting in 12 hours and the project was completed before noon on the third day. The owner came by each day to inspect their work. When they left today the roof looked perfect and they was not even the smallest piece of trash visible. The crew was extremely polite, professional and highly efficient. Within two hours of the crew leaving, the owner of the company, Luke Wilson, came by for a final inspection and found everything to his satisfaction but more importantly he wanted to be sure that I was satisfied. I can't say enough about this company and would never consider anyone else

"Rotten boards were found which they replaced. All flashing was replaced with double flashing and new gutters installed. Fiber cement boards replaced all the trim boards and this required curved surfaces that they did perfectly. They were very meticulous in all the work they did and even vacuumed the attic when finished. I highly recommend this company.

"Seth was very good to work with on the estimating and later on overseeing the crews doing the work. He was able to match the color of the old shingles so the new work blended in since we were repairing only a part of the roof. He was very professional and responsive. Work was started when schedule except for one rain delay and a crew sickness delay on the roofing job. Work was satisfactorily completed on time. Seth went beyond the call of duty when he came from the hospital during a serious family emergency to get the roofing job started. The office staff kept us informed on scheduling and delays. "The service was wonderful! The owner came out to do the I Uriah walk through and he wa sprite sail all and friendly. He gave us all the information we needed for the project and sent a quote quickly with many different options. We booked a little while later with a friendly and helpful office manager.
