"The contractor did excellent work at a reasonable price. After finding numerous flaws with the current siding, I decided to do the whole house. I was able to talk with the contractor as the work proceeded and he answered all my questions. He corrected several issues that contributed to the degradation of the existing siding to ensure the new siding would last. After installing the siding he painted the entire house and added extra touches that really set the house off. Needless to say I am extremely pleased with the high quality of work, attention to detail, and the overall project."

I’ve been in the construction industry for well over 10 years I’ve mastered in different trades and as of right now I’ve been building high end pole barns and barndominiums. I’m located around northern Colorado and more south I also travel to Cheyenne Wyoming. \n\nI specialize in structural framing, laminate flooring, tile, drywall, pole barns. \n\nI treat my jobs like if I was building it for me. I pay attention to details on the projects I do.

"Three bathrooms remodeled, redesigned, with 5-star craftsmanship! My wife had ideas which she started with, showed them to Juan, and then, he took those ideas to a whole other level, even better than we could have imagined. We were kept well-informed and all work was done in timely manner, with great attention to the smallest details. The office sent us regular texts about what would be done in each bathroom. Of note, the first bathroom to be transformed was the dimly-lit, dank basement bathroom (which we were told would be the most intensive one to transform as it required serious alterations in the concrete floor. This, incidentally went off without a hitch). Once that bathroom was finished (now a well-lighted beautiful bathroom with a custom-built shower), work began on the two upstairs. Again, we were very impressed by their redesign. Juan added some attractive nooks in strategic places around the new huge bathtub in the hallway bathroom, and also in the custom-designed walk-in shower in the master bathroom. His tile work is amazing!"

"Amanda was really very good!  At first I was very skeptical, thinking why did I pay money to just speak with someone on the phone about my kitchen remodel project... but after just a few minutes of her addressing some of the issues/questions I emailed to her earlier, I knew it was worth it.  It was very clear that she knew her business and she gave me several ideas that I had not even thought about.  I told her that I would definitely recommend her to friends and I will very likely use her again myself for my next home project!

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Joists and beams are both part of the flooring system above your basement, with the beams spanning the length of your home and getting support from vertical posts underneath, and joists usually spanning half the width of your home with no support posts underneath. The floor joists provide even support to the subflooring and flooring above, and they distribute that load to the beams. The beams then distribute that load down through the support posts to the foundation.

When choosing materials for finishing basement walls, consider factors such as moisture resistance, durability, and fire resistance. Opt for materials specifically designed for basement environments, like moisture-resistant drywall or cement board. Insulation with vapor barriers can help regulate temperature and prevent condensation. Consider using mold-resistant paints or coatings.

Research and consult with experts to select materials that are suitable for your specific basement conditions and intended use. Prioritize quality and compatibility to achieve long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing results.

Living in a finished basement is acceptable, but only if the space has the proper points of egress and includes smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors to ensure the safety of the occupants. A good way to ensure your finished basement is suitable for use as living space is to get the basement finishing project properly permitted.

Save money on your basement finishing project by making cost-effective decisions such as minimizing structural changes and avoiding costly construction revisions. DIY simpler tasks such as painting or basic cleanup to reduce labor costs. You can also opt for energy-efficient fixtures and materials that may qualify for rebates or tax incentives.

Renovations that add functionality or more comfortable floor space generally add the most value when remodeling your home. Attic or basement finishing can add floor space without altering the home's structure, saving you renovation money while adding valuable space. Smaller improvements, such as installing smart-home components or replacing entry doors and windows, also experience high ROIs.
