Septic Solutions and Services Inc is a family owned and operated. We are a septic system installation and servicing business. Anything from new installations to repairing your old system if it is repairable. We are continuing a 4 decade tradition of installing the best septic system you could have. WE ARE THE STANDARD TO WHICH ALL OTHERS ARE COMPARED.

"Tim Bragg and his company Septic Solutions of Adrian, WV was hired in 2007 to excavate a basement for a new home, install a septic tank, connect a water supply line to the house, and install an underground PVC drainage system to carry rain water away from the foundation. A problem was discovered in July 2019 that an important PVC connection had never been glued together and had pulled apart. This allowed rain water to accumulate next to the foundation and septic tank. I contacted Mr. Bragg and his response was that they would correct it some time in August. I also sent him pictures of the separated connection that was found underground. Unfortunately, that was the first and last communication with Mr. Bragg as he no longer took my phone calls or returned phone calls or texts. The lack of response is totally unprofessional and not trustworthy. If you don't want to fix it, can't fix it, or don't want to take responsibility for the mistake, then speak up. Don't hide behind voicemail."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Pool leaks most commonly occur around the joints of your pool, such as around the skimmer, return line entrance, main drain, or the lining of the floor tile. Tears are also common in vinyl liners between five and 20 years after installation. While leaks in pool piping are common, it does happen, and so they should be tested after you've ruled out other possibilities.

Homeowners insurance covers water damage in some cases, but you'll need to read your specific insurance plan to see if your homeowners insurance company covers your particular water damage. Water damage coverage often depends on the cause of the water damage, so you may find that you don't have coverage for certain causes, like flooding, roof leaks, or faulty appliances. If you do have coverage, know how to make a water leak insurance claim to quickly fix the issue.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

The type of sealant you use on a leaking pipe will depend on the pipe material and the cause of the leak. PVC P-traps should avoid petroleum-based sealants, which can degrade the plastic and worsen the leak. Pipe sealant is specifically designed for use on pipes, but remember—if your P-trap has a crack–it’s best to replace the pipe to avoid future leaks.

If you notice smells or clogs, you’ll know something’s wrong with your shower drain P-trap or the plumbing. Most of the time, smells and clogs are due to a clogged P-trap. However, in some instances, you may smell sewage. If this happens, open your windows and contact a plumber to help. They can do a plumbing inspection and let you know if anything needs to be repaired or replaced. Common culprits are a dry drain, cracks in the plumbing, or a clogged vent.
