"the 1st time we scheduled with this mr green we showed up at our scheduled time he was a know show we was kind enough to come back we spent a hr going over easy and simple repairs i made up a estimate for Mr green we spoke on the phone the day before our appointment 25 min going over every detail our apt was at 9 am the next day we drove 35 minutes to lowes to pick up his materials spent 45 min in the store it was very busy then drove 40 min to his home as soon as we got the mr green says where is your dad i said he had a drs appointment but i brought another employee mr green had a problem with this employee because she was a female my father has no plumbing license but is very capable and is a employee as i have other employees as the owner i can send any employee i deem capable to a job but when i bring a licensed journeyman MR GREEN HAS A ISSUE BECAUSE SHE IS A FEMALE at this point he wants to walk around and discuss the work we are going to do in order to insure its done right I EXPLAINED TO MR GREEN THAT WE ALREADY ARE 1.5 HRS IN TO THIS JOB AND Wanted TO GET TO WORK (MR GREEN SAYS SO WE AGREED ON A PRICE YOU CANT CHANGE IT I EXPLAINED TO MR GREEN THAT A ESTIMATE IS A ESTIMATE AND IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE it was also printed on his estimate at the bottom o (Mr Green goes thats not what we agreed upon I EXPLAINED TO MR GREEN THAT WE NEEDED TO GET THE AGGREMENT SIGNED SO WE COULD START THE WORK (MR GREEN insisted that we was being dishonest by changing the price WE DID NOT CHANGE THE BILL but as i explained to the customer we can not stand and talk when we are on the clock we charge by the hr so yes the bill goes up the longer we are on the job we've looked at the job we've talked about it on the phone we can either get to work or we could get in our truck and leave Mr green insisted on we talk about a bill about a agreed upon price so i got in my truck and left NOT ONLY WAS MR GREEN BEING DISCRIMINATING TOWARDS A FEMALE EMPLOYEE (we're a small company our time was being waisted)"
"The initial call when I spoke with customer on 6/6 751pm on a recorded line was for a for the gurgling sound in the kitchen sink when the washer discharged whish i explained sounded like a bad vent I was to come out and look and go purchase material to add inline vent under sink. upon arriving on 6/11 I ran diagnostics and found a bad sewer line nowhere in the initial conversation was a free estimate nor did it state or say anything about a free estimate on the angi's lead listing. its 3 hrs round trip from shop 1hr45min minute working on location 15 minutes waiting on customer to answer the door, we gave a estimated price customer asked if we could make use of there backhoe to dig to save on cost of a rental.. typically we do not allow this for liability reasons however we was trying to help the customer , we did make a verbal contract with the customer and both partied agreed on lowering the Initial bill due to $250 we was scheduled on 6/13 to dig up the sewer line reinstall as well as replumb the laundry room ac condensation drain and kitchen sink to the new line that we will insert thru the home after cutting the block in the foundation wasn't to long after i left i got a text stating we are going to get another estimate there for $93.93 is due do to breach of contract Even a verbal contract is still a legal binding contract we figured a 16hrs total including travel to purchase material as well to the job for this job 2 guys $100 per hour instead we reduced it to $75 a hr senior discount so instead of the estimated bill being $2300 with labor and material it was a estimated $1648.30 not including we was going against our policy an using the customers machine instead of adding an additional $800 to the bill so im we are pretty confident that our bill was very reasonable we are a business not a charity our price are already lower than most. customer was in breach of a verbal contract so full bill is owed overdue $93.93"
