Mountain solutions is a young business that seeks to communicate with customers to develop the best plan to tackle their project. I will never give a "general" quote to a job, I itemized everything so you know where your money is going and are never taken advantage of. My company is insured so you can rest assured. I enjoy giving a personalized friendly approach to my work to build a history of trust and integrity. I finish all of my jobs with no subcontracting so you start and end with the same person. I enjoy getting to know my customers while I work with them to understand their life and needs

We are a small detail oriented company. We have 3-4 employees on a regular basis and we hire additional help if the size of the job warrants it. We run a small crew so we can maintain good quality control in an effort to minimize call backs and complaints. Sometimes (rarely), we employ quality sub-contractors. We also offer consulting on construction projects to help the lay person through their projects.

Hardwood Flooring questions, answered by experts

Moso bamboo, Phyllostachys edulis, is the most commonly used species for bamboo flooring. Moso bamboo is native to China and Taiwan, and it was later introduced to Japan and then the United States. In addition to flooring, Moso bamboo is used in textile production, and the shoots are edible. Moso is one of the fastest-growing plants in the world, which is why it’s an affordable and sustainable option compared to traditional hardwood.

Berber is a loop pile carpet known for its strength, durability, and distinct looped look. It can be made from a number of different carpet materials, including nylon and wool. However, Berber isn’t as soft as cut pile carpet, so it isn’t the best carpet for a bedroom (although it’s a good style of carpet for living rooms).

With that said, if you really like the look of Berber, you can still install it in your bedroom—it just might not be as comfortable on your feet as cut pile carpeting.

It’s better to lift and set down furniture; sliding it across the floor is more likely to cause damage to both the floor and the furniture itself. For very heavy items, consider using a dolly with rubber wheels. It is possible to purchase sliders designed specifically for gliding furniture across floors, but you still risk causing permanent damage to flooring if you use them.

DIY is possible for small areas. Professional services provide deep cleaning and a polished finish for larger spaces.

Carpet is most often affixed to the floor by tacks in tack strips rather than nailed or glued directly to the subfloor. The tack strips are nailed to wood subfloors. Even if you want to install carpet over concrete, you’ll adhere the tack strips to the concrete with masonry nails or a liquid adhesive.
