Cavalier Floor Sanding

Tony and his foster son did a FANTASTIC, professional job installing genuine oak plank flooring in 3 rooms of our house. First tearing out carpeting and then choosing wood size and grain to match as closely as they could the existing wood in 3 other rooms. Wood was nailed in tightly and looks great. Enjoyed paying for the great farm raised chicken eggs he brought as well.

I contacted the owner who came out and looked at it. He said he could repair it but would have to strip it all the way back down. I never received a written or verbal quote. I was also never told I'd be charged for the repair. I was told they'd take care of the repair job. When the job was finished he sought me out in my basement and said I owed him $800.00. While the craftsmanship is acceptable, I would not recommend the provider due to my experience with their business practices.

Excellent. Fast, professional and no dust! Tony and his crew did fantastic job. Sanding showed to dips or gouges. Finish was perfect.

It went perfectly well. Great folks to work with. The previous owners had a dog that peed on the carpet, which soaked down thru the wood. The Cavalier folks were good at giving us advice and making it clear what they could and could not do. I'd use them again without hesitation.

They were outstanding. They were very knowledgeable about how to fix the floor and finish it. It's a good deal for 5000 dollars. I give them straight A's.

This is the second project we have hired Tony to complete for us.  The first time we hired him to install all new hardwood floors on the first floor of our house.  We were so pleased with our experience and the final outcome that we hired him again to complete this latest project.  And once again, we are very happy that we chose Tony and Cavalier Flooring!  Tony is responsive, knowledgeable, honest, reliable, thorough, and hard working.  He is also very friendly and personable.  Without a doubt, we will hire Tony again whenever we have similar projects in the future.

This is the second house that we have had Tony do for us.  He does a good job and the floors look beautiful.  His pricing is fair and they pay attention to detail by hand sanding the corners of the rooms and stairs.  They sanded right up to the quarter rounds, so we did not have to remove and replace those.  He finished our thresholds and was great to work with.

I can't say enough about Cavalier Floor Sanding. I have used several different floor sanding companies in the Central Ohio area because I renovate houses and they are by far the best I have seen. They're pricing was fair and less than others I have used, with better results. They are extremely professional and the people you talk to and get your estimate from, are the ones that actually do the work. 
There were a number of ugly pet urine stains that could not be sanded out. They replaced the bad boards and blended in the new. You cannot even tell it was done. I will use them for all my future floor projects. 
So nice to see there are those out there that take great pride in their work.

They were prompt, friendly and the floors look great!  We are moving to a new home soon and are going to have them refinish those floors too!

I can't say enough great things about Toni and his Mother.   My floors are gorgeous.  I just wanted to cry with happiness, especially after having a another contractor that didn't sand my floors correctly.  Toni was always willing to answer any questions I had, and believe me I can ask alot of questions.  When the job was finished there was no mess left behind.  Cavalier Floors is an awesome company.

Cavalier Floor Sanding were very good. I was very favorably impressed. They showed up exactly when he said they were going to. They sanded my deck three times, so they did an excellent job. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up. They were very careful workers. We were really impressed.

Tony came highly recommended to us by both our realtor and friends who raved about him. As described, he called us back immediately, was friendly, professional, punctual, and did awesome work. Our floors had been through a lot as the house had once been a rental. Tony made them look like new. We were blown away. Also, although Tony doesn't advertise himself as dustless, he really might as well. Our friends told us he left no dust, and sure enough, any evidence of sanding was very hard to find. The only thing I noticed was the lightest dusting on the lower part of the walls. In fact, I scheduled people to come clean and they didn't want to charge me because they couldn't figure out what to clean! Highly recommend Cavalier Floors! I only regret that we didn't take before and after pictures.

Tony came over right away, on a weekend , to give me an estimate.  He was very professional and knowledgable.  He gave a couple of options to refinish the floor.  We had had water damage and severe cupping all over the floor.  Our planks were 5.5 inches wide and stained black.   We have 5 dogs and the floors looked horrible.  No matter how much or little I cleaned the floors, they always looked filthy.  Tony suggested sanding the floors to remove the cupping and was able to correct the floor hump that was never installed properly to begin with.  He told me exactly how long it would take and held to his word.  He even took down my pictures and anything he thought may be come loose in the process.   He also moved my refrigerator for me and showed me how to clean it so as not to damage the coils.  I can't say enough good things about him, and the floors......OMG  they are superb!!!  I thought I would miss the drama of the black stain but natural was definately the way to go.  AND he put on three coats of polyeurothane(sp?).  not the two that the original installer had done.   We have no shoe mold down and he was able to get right up to the base board and remove the black.  If you are thinking about having your floors redone, I would highly recommend Cavalier Floors.

They did a superb job. They were prompt in call backs and arrived on time for both the estimate and the appointment for the refinishing itself. They were very thorough in explaining their processes and the products they used, and helped us make informed decisions.

They were also very sensitive to our concerns about our cat being in the house while they worked. This was the case not just from a fear of their work being damaged, but because if the cat came in contact with the products used on the floors before dry, they knew it would be harmful to him.

The floors turned out BEAUTIFULLY. Great color match to the woodwork of the house, and overall great quality.

We had used Tony before to install new wood in our kitchen several years ago - we trusted him to install the floors while we were on vacation. We had come give us an estimate on our new project. We felt the estimate was so reasonable - and we trusted Tony enough to again do the work while we were gone for a week - we didn't even get another estimate. He came to give us our estimate several months before we planned to have the work done. He's very personable and professional. So easy to work with. We communicated over the phone as the project got closer, and he came out again to confirm everything. We gave him a key to our house - and he left it with neighbors when he was done. His work is beautiful! He matched the wood so closely to our dining room floor you can hardly tell they were installed at different times. He did a great job around our hearth...everything. The old wood he refinished looks marvelous as well - and it matches the bedrooms as well as it possibly could considering it's been covered with carpet for several additional years. We cannot recommend Tony highly enough. If we had anymore floors, we would definitely be calling Tony!

They did a superior job! They completed the work in three days as stated, were always on time, did a thorough job of taping off other areas of the house to control dust, cleaned up after themselves, and were friendly and professional. The place I asked them to repair before starting was well done and looks very natural. Cathy even arranged to change the time she arrived on the second day to accommodate my husband's schedule change. Before she left she took the initiative to fix a "polyurethane bubble" that had been left in my kitchen floor by another company six years ago; I had casually mentioned the first day how much it drove me nuts! My floors are BEAUTIFUL!! I highly recommend Cavalier Floors!

Excellent. They really know wood floors; for example, how many finishing coats you should put on. They even know how to repair wood floors, something that I wish I'd known earlier.

Tony & Cathy were great to work with. Pricing was very competitive and the middle bid when compared to companies we spoke with. They were flexible on timeline and installed the floors while we were on vacation. Felt very comfortable leaving them a key for them to complete the job and upon our return. Extremely satisfied with the quality of work that was done. Cathy was wonderfully responsive to any questions we had and easy to get a hold of (which was not the case with other companies we tried to work with). Tony was obviously a hard worker, for the beginning of the job that we were home to see. We will definitely use this company again!

She's been here 4-5 times. Does excellent work. Very professional. 1 time she ran 15 minutes behind and she called me to let me know. I explained to her that we didn't mind doing the finishing if she would sand. That was fine with her. $2.00 sq/ft is her charge. minimum 200 sq ft.
