"I had 2 very large trees that died and I got 4 estimates. All Your Needs Tree Service was BY FAR the best estimate! Also when the owner and his wife came out to give me a free estimate, I immediately felt comfortable with them! Not only were they professional, they were personable!! The whole crew was GREAT, They did a fantastic job and I felt completely at ease with them at my home. which is unusual for me, I would hire them back in a minute and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! "Bob's Handyman is the best. Bob goes beyond what is asked of him. I wasn't sure as to what I wanted to do with my porch, and he gave me several ideas, with no pressure. His workmanship and ethics are top notch. His crew is also great. They are respectful and knowledgeable. I will hire him in the future and recommend him to anyone that needs a handyman. I now have a lovely sunroom. Thanks Bob."

"They came that evening and looked at our job and gave us a very reasonable quote. The other tree services did not bother getting back in touch. We called them back the next day and setup a time for the job to be done. They were at our home promptly at 7:00 , cut 4 trees down , stacked the wood and cleaned up and were finished in 2 1/2 hours! They were very good and knew their job! Our four trees were threats to our home . They brought them down with no damage to our property! We would highly recommend this crew of 4 guys to anyone! We will definitely use them again!"

I am a young business owner and brand new father! I have worked all over the construction industry from a young age and became a licensed plumber before I finished highschool. The name “One man” Freelancing was inspired by my service in the WV national guard where I still currently serve as the “one man” a term given to the cannon crewmember who loads and fires the artillery cannons. I have a broad range of knowledge and problem solving skills, if I don’t know how to do the job I will surely be able to learn and you will not be disappointed with results!

"Excellent service, the crew was very professional, timely and friendly. I was amazed by the cleanup they did after all the tree trimming and cutting one tree completely down. They went above and beyond and I highly recommend!"

"Very friendly and accommodating crew. They are very knowledgeable and experienced workers. The supervisor came to my house on Friday to look at the tree and returned later in the to brace it so it would not fall on my roof. He came back on Saturday with a partial crew to remove a limb close to the roof and further brace the tree. They were supposed to come about 8:00am to finish the job but they called and said they were at another job. A lady had called them and asked if they could take her tree out first. Her tree had been stuck by lightning and was still on fire. After the fire department left they took care of her tree. They got to my house about 2:00 and removed two more large branches and left for the day. They came back on Wednesday morning and finished the job. They left a 3 foot stump for me to install a bird bath. The branches were cut into 16 inch lengths for my fireplace and stacked it. They cleaned up the mess, leaves, wood chips, saw dust and drink cans. They hauled away all the big branches. The cost was $2800 but we gave them a $200 tip."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

DIY pruning is possible for small trees and shrubs with basic tools. However, for larger trees, more hazardous removals, or to ensure proper pruning techniques are used, it is recommended to hire a professional for safety.

Trees don’t usually grow back after being cut down. Some particularly robust tree species may start sending up new stems from a stump to recover, but those stems won’t become a “tree” like before. Generally, trees don’t recover from being entirely cut down, which is why it’s important to be careful when making a decision. When you cut down a tree, it’s a good idea to make plans to remove the stump, even if it’s unlikely to grow back.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

Pruning a tree is a yearly DIY job that involves removing small dead branches, leaves, and blooms to help the tree grow bigger and stronger. You can often complete the job with basic home gardening tools. Trimming a tree, however, removes larger sections to control the direction the tree grows in and protects your home, utility wires, and yard from potentially dangerous branches.

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area. Other products, like fertilizer that contains lots of nitrogen, can enhance the process and rot a stump in about a year. (This is compared to the ten years it can take naturally for a stump to rot.)
