"James did some drywall repair for us (damage caused by kids and a mother-in-law). He did a fantastic, efficient, and clean job. He even matched the paint perfectly! It was like the damage had never occurred. He offered a special fix to lessen the likelihood of something happening again. He got to us promptly and was courteous. And his price was very fair, 👍👍👍💯"

"I cant speak high enough of Mr Palmer and his workers. They hung new dry wall in 4 rooms then painted them and painted my bathroom and kitchen. The work he did is beautiful. I love the way my house looks now. I am so pleased with him I am planning on hiring him to paint the outside of my house. He and his workers do phenomenal paint work. He is reasonably priced and cares about the quality of work he does. I would definitely recommend him to do work!!!!!!!!!! The inside of my house looks new again!!!"

"After having By All Means and Moore do my roof and gutters, i decided to have them do my siding also. My siding was cracked, busted and some of it was hanging off the house. I call By All Means and Moore to have them come out and do a free estimate. They installed clay color vinal siding around my whole house. It  looks like a band new house. They did excellent work and if i need anything else done i am gonna call them for sure!"

"It went pretty smoothly. One of the best contractors I have had from Choice Home Warranty. Century Restoration Maintenance, LLC and owner PeAyre Gardner were awesome. I have had CHW several years and I wanted to cancel because every thing we called about they denied the claim. My husband decided to keep them. I was pleasantly surprised that they fixed both the leak and drywall in the ceiling from the leak. I did have to provide extra pics from the leak before it was approved as initially the claim was denied."

"
We are very pleased with the work.  Jodie and his crew were professional and very polite.  He addressed any questions we had about the structure.  We were very impressed.  They worked in rain, cold, and it even snowed on the last day of the job.  They began the job sooner than we first thought they would be able. They finished the job when they said they would have it finished."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use drywall repair techniques for some types of plaster damage. Tiny holes and small cracks in plaster can be patched in similar ways to drywall. You apply the necessary compound to fill the hole, wait for it to dry, then sand it down. For larger damage, like water damage or mold, you need to use plaster-specific techniques and materials.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.

You should do a little bit of sanding between adding coats of mud. Knock down any ridges or significantly imperfect areas through sanding, which should help you apply the next coat of mud smoothly. If your first coat of mud is pretty smooth after it dries, a quick sanding is all you’ll need. Don’t forget to wipe away any dust after each sanding process.

Plaster that sags or bulges, shows extensive deep cracks, or is crumbling from water damage or simply time may need replacement. Plaster walls can look a little “worn” for a long time before they need replacing. The only real way to know if it needs a replacement is to hire a professional to assess the condition of the plaster.

Through expert matching of texture and paint for an invisible repair.
