"Robert called when he was enroute and arrived early. Hired him as an electrician for the day. During the day he replaced 2 ceiling fans and replaced 5 outside lights on the porch, garage, and back porch. He replaced a fuse for the ceiling fan, and changed out the front doorbell switch after trouble shooting it. He replaced a smoke detector and he replaced two light fixtures in our bathrooms. After completing all electrical work early, he gladly changed out a faucet in the powder room, and put up new 3-piece bathroom fixtures in all three bathrooms. All in a day's work. It started with the president of the company calling to see if everything was starting on schedule and to our satisfaction. During the work, there were some problems, but they handled every single issue promptly, professionally, and to our total satisfaction. The materials and their choices were outstanding. The 2 bathrooms worked on look stunning. We had shower doors and a vanity installed and replaced in a guest bath, and in the master, we had a tub ripped out and a huge double shower installed alongside a linen/medicine closet and a double vanity installed. The floor was also redone. The materials we selected and their construction techniques and methods have created bathrooms we have always wanted in our home. The early change to a new project manager, Alex, had a few bumps, but Alex worked hard to make sure that the initial bumps were overcome, and we were informed and the project was moving along the lines we had originally planned under his expert supervision. "Found Machen Brothers on Angie's list.  Called and Jodie Machen came over that afternoon to look at the job and give an estimate.  I had a gently sloping rood over porch that had previously been covered with heated rubber roofing.  The current roof had deteriorated and was beginning to leak.  Another contractr had told me it wasn't pitched enough - Jodie assured me it was and that he could do the job for far less than had been quoted to me.  He contacted my Home Warranty provider, gave them an estimate and all the details, and promised he would be back in touch as soon as weather was good enough to do the work.
Jodie and helper showed up and completed the work in 2 days time.  They matched the shingles with my original roof, flashed the roof with the house siding, gently removed the gutters, then replaced them when complete.  Work was exactly what was estimated, and completed in a timely manner.   I am very satisfied and will use him again!
