I called Davis Electric to replace plumbing in remodeling job.  I was redoing the cast iron tub and wanting new plumbing.  They said we needed to have an open access to plumbing prior to plumber coming out.  This meant we had to cut an access area in my kitchen back splash.  The plumber never came resulting in us having to reschedule the tub refurbisher who was 2 1/2 hours away from Elkins, WV.  When he did show up, plumber spent his time replacing the faucet set, which we had purchased. two to have on hand.  We had not requested the plumber to replace the faucet set but told him their were parts he might need in the box.. Plumber had problem with the faucet itself.  Said water shot out everywhere.  He tried both we had and he tried one he brought with him.  Said he couldn't find the right size and didn't know what else to do.  We learned these are universal-one size fits all.  My contractor finally used one we had so we could use the bathtub. Fortunately, the first time the shower was used, we still had the access open in the kitchen - even though my contractor said the plumber did not use this access for anything. My daughter started to use the shower and fortunately, my husband was standing in the kitchen, and when she turned on the shower water shot out into the kitchen.
I called Davis Electric and the plumber to get him to come back and finish the job-which never occurred.  I made several trips to Davis Electric and talked to them about the problem.  I got three $140.00 bills stating they were for "drain and labor".  When asked the plumber said he replaced washers in the shower knobs - which a different p lumber we hired, replaced.  This plumber immediately said the washers had not even been replaced in the knob plumbing.  I took the parts and showed Davis Electric.  The existing parts appeared to be the original from 1969 when house was built.  This is a summary.  Davis Electric took 75.00 off my bill.  I have paid them part of the bill for the drain.  They say I own the total amount - I am adamant I don't owe for what wasn't finished.  I would NOT recommend them.  I told them I should bill them for all of the aggravation they caused me. Sorry if this reads funny, my computer keeps skipping around on me and shut off once.  Thanks

Gave me a great deal on a dishwasher and installed within a week. Very pleased! We also had a stove replaced and had gotten a used gas stove that was originally set up for bottled gas, fixed it no problem and with a smile and made our kitchen redo a breeze. Would definitely buy from/hire again!

The work appeared to have been done well and required the use of a back hoe to reach the buried pipe. I disputed the bill for the labor being charged and the company owner/manager listened to my side of the matter and agreed to lower the bill (without an argument).

Davis and Electric sent out a technician on the day that I called. The technician took my dryer apart to see the extent of repairs that were needed for the machine. I would need a heat sensor, the barrel fixed so that it would turn and a new door hinge. The cost of fixing my machine was going to be approximately half the cost of a new dryer. The technician was at my house for over an hour and encouraged me to watch him while working on the dryer. He showed me the parts that needed changing and why they needed changed. Of course it was oblivious that the barrel was not turning, the door was not closing correctly and the dryer was not getting as hot as it needed to be. The technician was more than willing to fix the dryer, but I chose to by a new dryer instead of fixing the old 20 year old dryer (my electric bill is much less with the new dryer than the old one).

They are excellent. The people they send out are very knowledgeable. They have been in business for a long, long time and you can depend on them. They just know what they are doing. I don't think their prices are reasonable but you get the value for your money. They are responsive, punctual, and professional.
