The water heater install was a disaster. He did buy the heater we selected but after that it was down hill. He assured us that he would have it installed by someone qualified to enforce the warranty. He Lied. He didn't get the right parts to install it. They did remove the old water heater OK. The plumber didn't have the right tools or parts because he thought John was going to have everything there. So he was frustrated starting. Of course they had taken out the old one so we didn't have any hot water and he said he didn't want to leave us without hot water, but he should have. We needed to have a hole drilled through the foundation to vent the water heater. He didn't inform us or make any attempt to contain the mess he was about to make. My grandson who was visiting that weekend, came running out of the house saying, "Grandma, the whole basement is filled with red smoke" . Everything (and its a full basement that is full of storage and stuff) was covered with the red brick dust and all along the wall chunks of brick and stone. He went to our small town local hardware store and got parts that got us hot water but didn't meet the specs and didn't install it using the rings that would have made the hole look better. There's a sheet of paper on the outside that tells you exactly what should be done with the install. NOT DONE. He left it messy with old pipes capped off and the new lines coming off from pipes a foot or more away from the wall. We have not hired someone to clean it up, but are planning to do so this spring. (Again having to pay twice for the same thing) He did install the sun-setter but didn't finish it, so its starting to come apart. He did put up the rails with the new supports he said we needed that I bought, but they put the sleeves on upside down and drilled new holes in them so that now there are ugly holes showing. We talked about everything we wanted before we started and still every time we questioned what he was doing or not doing he acted surprised. We talked about already having some bad experiences and he seemed so sincere about doing a good job and doing it right, but again we feel taken. We both feel like we should have fired him but neither knew how we would ever get it finished if we did. We definitely should not have paid him as much as we did. We only held back $200 on his promise that he would get the water heater installed properly. Why we believed him at that point I don't know, but also just wanted him gone. He's an excellent salesman but NOT a good contractor. install was great intill i had problems a couple months later with my a/c sinking intot he ground,....they have horrible customer service from my expereience, everytime i called i ahd to reexplain my problem, they schedule and didnt show, finally came but told me i was going to have to pay disconnect and reconnect, intill i fixed my landscaping,.....which was not a problem before the install. Overall the intall of new heater and a/c was good, just had problems afterwards. they where on time durinng the install. the sales people are very friendly. I Had gotten a few different estimates and they where the most pricey, but in general the main reason i choose them was for the warranty on the euipment is was the best. They got a C for price cause what i said before. They got a B on Punctuality because of the no show appt., the ey got a B overall , cause of there lack of communication between office and serive techs.,
the responsive grade is also due to the fact there where informed about the problem and it took two weeks to get them out here. In repsonse though they where very helpful in sovling the problem at the end, SO it gets a B."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/wv/parkersburg/grogg%27s-home-services-reviews-5456482.htm"},"position":4}]}

Came on a Sunday after a huge snow storm when our heater went out. Took one look, left to pick up the part her needed, and had it fixed in no time. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely use again.

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Grantsville, WV
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
