"Outstanding!!! By far one of the finest installations that I have had performed in my home over the last 30 years. Eric who performed the installation is a master at recessed light installation. After a brief survey of my existing lighting and my new requirements he went right to work. He made only two (2) 6"x 6" drywall ceiling cuts to complete the 11 light installation. I envisioned that my ceiling would require major drywall work when he finished and my requirement to hire a drywall contractor. In fact he did such great job in his ceiling entry work I completed the drywall patch work myself. He took advantage of my existing wiring to tie all lights in and replaced existing switches with ones that provided a dimmer capability. If you are thinking of having recessed LED lighting installed and don't hire Murphy Family Services and Eric specifically you're missing out on a great opportunity to spruce up your home with a quality lighting job (Oh! don't forget that you have to buy the LED lights and switches but at today's prices they're a real bargain. "I am at fault for not activating their service until near the end of the year it was in effect.  My remodel kept getting delayed and delayed.  My initial contact was great from the Homemade Design contact person.  He assigned me  Amanda Z . We conferenced by phone for an hour after she missed the 1st scheduled phone conference.   I emailed photos of my preferences, room dimensions, photos of the room and filled out their online style questionaire.  She e mailed me a design.  A few months later, I did the remodel with MJM Cabinets.  Great assist there. We designed the Murphy bed/storage.  I emailed Amanda a question sometime before the start of the remodel.  Did not hear back from her for the months I was remodelling.  Finally she emailed that l was labelled  as Spam.  No ahswer to my months old design question.  Finished the project.  Amanda's contribution was the positioning of the murphy bed/storage unit and a reading chair.  Emailed her the photos of the room after the contractors left.  Asked her assistance.  She said no need.  That was it.  Got $29 worth of design."

"Purchased coupon on August 11, 2011.  Because I was remodeling my kitchen myself after work and weekends, I didn't have time to deal with the creating the room drafts, plans, layouts or measurements she required.  I did contact Jill and explain the situation and she was very understanding.  She said because I contacted her, not to worry about the deadline.  I remained in contact with her over the next few years (that's how long it took me) and when I was ready around the start of 2014, she worked hard to provide her new design.

"We called Machen for an estimate to tear off our old roof on our house and detached garage. They were very responsive and Jodi even came out on a Saturday to give us an estimate. He was very knowledgeable regarding the materials and products we needed, and we were impressed that he actually climbed the roof to take all of the measurements, where other contractors we had contacted did not. The estimate we received was fair considering that the roof deck would need wrapped and the amount of ice guard we needed. Jodi and his team were on time every day and got right to work. They took their time on the job and were very conscientious about the work performed to ensure it was done correctly. Jodi takes a lot of pride in ensuring the job site remains neat and takes a lot of care to ensure they thoroughly clean up before leaving for the day. We ran into heavy rain halfway through the project and Jodi even came out on the weekend to ensure that the roof was water tight before the rain hit. The new roof looks great and we are very pleased with the end result!"

"They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. I was very pleased with their work. They also installed at an earlier time plastic under my house. They even noticed that insulation work I had done by another contractor was not completed. I called the contractor and told him they noticed his work and he came back and finished the job.  I didn't know it at the time, but they also install insulation. I would use them again."

"In terms of the overall outcome that the contractors did was outstanding. Both of our bathrooms are gorgeous, they contractors were professional, prompt, and very polite. They really worked hard and made sure that things were installed correctly. Some days they stayed longer than they were supposed to in order to make sure they did things right. Id give them a A++ for the overall work and professionalism they provided. However, in terms of the people working in the office is a different story. I would rate their customer service from a scale of 1 (being the lowest) to 5 (being the highest) a 2.5. The lack of communication with some of the people who worked in the office really sucked. Not all of the people we dealt with were like that but quite a few were. It just seemed like one issue after the next. Although they proved quality products and do quality work, they could work on communication skills. That was the only issue we continued to see where they lacked in. The work only took about a week and a half for both bathrooms which we were highly impressed about. We were also impressed with the warranty the provide on everything they installed. This is a great company in terms of quality work. But your patience will be tested with their communication skills. I will say with all our frustrations we may have had, the company fixed them quickly. They even threw in a few things on them for our frustrations and were very professional about it. Great Great Great work on our bathrooms though, we are extremely pleased with the work the contractors did."
