"This one-star rating is generous! We are seven weeks into a four-day job at our house! The have been back three times to finish the job and it is still not done. My back yard is a mud pit! I have been informed by the "office" that it will take two more weeks before I can be put on the schedule for a crew to come back. The crew is working from their Lancaster office, and the managers won't return phone calls and are hiding behind the receptionist. I work just a few miles from their Lexington office, so I decided to pop in and talk to a different person only to find out that there is no staff in this office. The website for the Lexington office has a picture of the building and posted hours of 9 am to 6 pm, but it is just a building with mailboxes and a few shared meeting rooms used by several companies. Customer service is absolutely horrible. Think twice before hiring USS!"

Shrinkage in concrete stems from the evaporation of water from the mixture as it cures. Contractors mix concrete with the proper amount of water to account for a set level of shrinkage. When the process happens unevenly between the top and lower layers of concrete, shrinkage cracks are bound to form.

In most cases, the cost to pour a concrete patio falls between $8 and $12 per square foot. For a typical 200-square-foot concrete patio, you’re looking at an average price of between $1,600 and $2,400. Most concrete patios will be 4 inches thick, so thickness plays a minimal role in the price variance, but some types of concrete finishes can cost up to $25 per square foot, which has a major impact on your total.

Ideally, your concrete should set slightly above ground at an angle sloping away from the fence post. This will add extra support and allow water to run away from the wood fence post. Especially for larger projects, it’s usually a good idea to hire a professional concrete delivery company when it comes to installing concrete surfaces even though it will undoubtedly cost more to hire a pro to do the work for you.
