"Chad was on time and was very professional on our first meeting . We settled on a date and time and was quoted a reasonable price. He arrived on time and I hadn’t been home when he started and he had half the tree down when I arrived. Clean up was awesome nothing for me to do. He placed all the wood where I requested. You wouldn’t know that the tree had ever been there. I give him 10 stars if I could. Thank you Chad and CB Services"

"Chase excelled in customer service. The job couldâ ve been done by anyone with the right equipment. What made the difference was his responsiveness to my questions and ability to explain things in an easy way. He came in on budget and called in extra resources to finish in a timely manner. I am a dedicated Husband and father to 2 great kids (Addy and Austin).\n\nI grew up in Appleton and lived in the Fox Valley my entire life. I have had a successful career in Operations, but its time for a change.\n\nI am watching my parents and my friends parents age and struggle to maintain their homes. It's hard to watch someone lose something they worked so hard for just because of physical limitations/aging. \n\nThat is why I started my business. I want to support people's lives by helping them stay in their home. \n\nYou need it done, I can get it done.

"Awesome tree service! Very professional. Called us right away, was right there with quote we asked for, is insured. Did a great job, had safety equipment, was very respectful of lawn, etc. Great efficiency and clean up. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and already gave their name to friends."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

For safety reasons, leaning trees are best removed by a professional, as they may often tear away from the hinge, causing you to lose control over where the tree falls. If you choose to cut down a tree leaning slightly, avoid cutting off root protrusions before you start. Make your hinge a little longer than usual by cutting it deeper (up to 30% of the diameter) and applying a wedge into the felling cut on the side the tree is leaning. Stand away from the direction the tree leans while making your felling cut.

There are many signs that a tree is diseased or dying, and if you suspect that’s the case, you should call an arborist immediately. You might notice rot or fungus on the trunk or that the tree is beginning to lean to one side. Brittle branches or signs of root damage are other indicators that a tree is in trouble. If the tree is dying, it might be time to cut the tree down so it doesn’t fall.

On grafted trees, tree suckers will grow from the root stock, not the branches grafted onto it. Therefore, the leaves and characteristics of the suckers aren’t the same as the tree because they are different varieties. Root stock has more hardiness, strength, or drought tolerance than its grafted limbs, so if the suckers are from fruit or flowers, it might be different than the main part of your tree.

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. However, a tree with a trunk larger than two or three inches in diameter needs to be handled by a professional in order to yield successful transplanting results. Consulting a tree planting professional is the best way to tell if your large tree can be safely transplanted.
