We are an owner operated company. The owner, Greg, having over 20 years experience in the painting field, works on, and oversees all jobs with the help of a small, professional crew. All painters have at least 5 years experience, are detail oriented, well mannered and always professional. We do mostly interiors and some small exterior projects. Anything from a single room to a whole house interior, condo, or office suite. We focus on one project at a time from start to finish. No skipping from job to job. Cost is determined by the job. Prices include all labor and materials including paint. We generally use Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams paints but are also happy to use whichever paint out customers prefer. We get good prices on paint and pass our savings on to our customers. We have a long list of happy, satisfied customers. They emptied all kitchen cabinets and removed many wall hangings and put them back exactly where they came from! While it is possible to paint over wallpaper, it’s not always ideal. If the wallpaper is firmly adhered, has no bubbling or peeling, and isn’t textured, you can try to prime and paint over it. Use an oil-based primer to prevent the adhesive from bleeding through. However, if the paper is damaged or loose, removal is the better long-term solution.

You can paint over existing wallpaper if you select wallpaper that is designed to be paintable. This type of paper is meant to add texture to walls. Alternatively, if you have old wallpaper you’d like to cover up, you can often paint over that instead of removing it. However, it needs to be smooth, damage-free, and non-textured. Otherwise, any bumps, tears, and texture will show through the paint.

While often used interchangeably, flat and matte paints are not the same. Flat paint has no gloss and is completely shine-free, while matte has up to 10% resin, giving it a slightly velvety appearance. That small amount of gloss in matte paint gives it a more elegant, modern appearance than flat paint, though flat paint is ideal for hiding imperfections in even the most dented, scratched, and repeatedly repaired surfaces.

The heaviest paint when dry is paint that has a thick pigment and additives like sand or some other aggregate. Oil-based paints can take the longest to dry because of their thicker pigments and higher densities, while water-based paints might be lighter when dry because the weight of the water reduces as it evaporates from the paint.

The disadvantages of whitewash paint can start when mixing the paint. Too much water can cause chipping and peeling later because the substrate did not fully absorb the solution. It's also difficult to control the consistency of the paint, resulting in an uneven finish. Remember, achieving desired results with whitewash demands skill and patience, as improper techniques can result in streaks, uneven coverage, or premature flaking, adding complexity to the process.
